Is the FIA a government organization?

So is the FIA part of the government or a private company?

How do we get rid of it?

It is time for it to be replaced.

I know that it sanctions motor sport and has something to do with auto safety.

I am sure we can have a new org doing all of that by Thursday this week.

It's a private entity. What's your gripe with them?

Thanks.

Their love of Ferrari and hatred of McLaren and Hamilton. Not to mention the son of a fascist that runs the place.

They need to go.

someone is always opposed to sanctioning bodies, governtment bodies or entities etc., no matter how much we want to get rid of them they will be around for some time

and Honestly they (FIA) have probably done more good than bad...esp as far as motorsport safety is concerned

FIA is a joke.

We need a t-Shirt that says:

"FIA: Ferrari International Assistance"

I'd buy one in a heartbeat.

While I am of the opinion that Mosley is a pervert, and a generally poor leader of the FIA, he didn't choose his lineage.

As I had no idea about the penalty given to Hamilton, I did a quick google search and found this to be a good read: F1 News > Looking behind the Hamilton decision

I watched that whole sequence that the penalty refers to and it seems ridiculous to me. Hamilton cut the chicane and subsequently let Kimi take the lead -- that should be it. I'm dumbfounded as to why anyone would think he deserves a penalty.

I'd like it in white with blue lettering.

Shirts should be of the golf-shirt type, and be black and silver with red trim.
