Miatas (and Mustangs) should be banned from Lemons. There is no such thing as a $500 Miata or a $500 Mustang as there are racing series for both cars that will always buy both cars for far more than $500...
Sounds like you guys ran a great race. Congrats on your finish. We hope to do as well in LA in June.

Nice write up, Rahul! Sorry you didn't win. Your car made the Good Morning America segment!
Good Morning America Weekend - 24-Hours of LeMons - ABC News The races are so much fun! Rich, as for Miatas and Mustangs, I beg to differ. These cars need to be carefully inspected but certainly can be found. I own three LeMons cars, and one is a Miata. My cost basis in the car right now is $69. How? I paid $900 AS IS NEEDS CLUTCH. I got a clutch on eBay for $157 with shipping, I took the hardtop off the car and sold it for $1050, and I had to replace a hub and windshield wiper pump. It bone stock and perfectly legal and I have the documentation to back it up. ![]() That being said, Miatas and E30s are the most common front runners at LeMons races and are heavily scrutinized by the judges. we have a whole spec Miata package we'd like to put on the Miata, but the judges would crucify us. So we'll go bone stock.

Thanks Jer. It was a fun race and like I said the only annoying thing is that we simply didnt have the pace to catch the Frankenmiata

You need to make sure you have enough sideways sweep to be able to see the apex before you turn in
