Nominee's for Peter Windsor's job

Just finished watching the last F1 race of the season and the farewell to Peter Windsor as pit lane commentator and part of the Speed TV announcer team. My wife suggested I apply for the job but I somehow don't think the Yooper accent would appeal (except to the Finnish fans.)
I have decided to nominate Richard Parramint for the job. After all, he has the requisite British accent, is certainly an accomplished speaker, and his line of B.S. would be the envy of anyone (including Burt Levy. Other nominee's???
...Dave

I would like to second that, where do I apply, what's the money like. Not sure how many Americans can understand the Norfolk accent.
Thanks for the vote Dave

I don't know who they'll end up with, but I definitely will miss Peter Windsor. Having a real F1 insider who also can do cogent and concise commentary, as well as being a genuinely nice guy, he leaves very big shoes to fill.

The job appointment has already been made: James Allen, at least for the post race interviews

Peter Windsor will be missed, he was a Lotus guy! He has an Elan FHC if I remember correctly.

Oh well, back to the day job......what is the day job?.....coaching people to speak in public, factory tours at Lotus and Team Lotus, driving Lotuses to jurno's etc, annoying people at LOG's.

Sounds OK to me, unless you folks have a better offer........anything legal concidered, anything illegal considered.

I was just about to say "you'll be ok as long as it's not James Allen..."

Oh well. Sure he' a nice guy but ponces aboutthe pitlane in a full on race suit and when he had to commentate on a few races on ITV when the regular wasn't available he was just plain annoying. Certainly seemed as if he bugged the crap out of Martin Brundle (who incidentially I think is superb).
