Post your Driving Shoes

Ok... I currently have Piloto Prototip's (Black and Orange). Now that I see half the town wearing them because ROSS has them for $65.00 cheaper than I paid off the Piloti site... it makes me angry. So I want new driving shoes. I'm very surprised at the line up that PUMA has. I've been looking at their site and I fell in love with the DUCATI shoes they have, but am worried they don't have the best heel for driving like my Piloti's do. I also don't ride motorcycles but I just love the black/orange style that PUMA has here:

Ohhhhhh, I might have to buy those Ducati shoes!!! I have a Ducati, and those shoes match my car!

I just have a pair of Piloti Spyder SV that were given to me. They are just basic driving shoes, but I love the fact that I don't have to tie them, lol.

Not sure how they would be on the small pedals in an elise,But my personal fave is the adidas goodyear racing sneak, I used pilotis and pumas when i autoxed my miata and old porsche 944,And the adidas were the best and most comfortable,Sidenote you dont look like a tool walking around in them either hahaha

I go by whatever I can find that fits at the puma outlet store (not a lot of 13 and 14 puma shoes there). I have yet to find shoes that are comfortable for walking and driving, the prototip's are the most comfortable, but they only had 11.5, and at least I usually wear 12.5 extra wide. So FML when it comes to driving shoes. I have 2 pairs of puma (finished leather speedcat and ferrari something or other), both I can't wear more than a few minutes of walking. The Piloti's are ok, too small at best, but they do have a harder bottom for walking around in.

Piloti DTMs.

They sort of make my feet feel numb after a while, which is disconcerting. I've also been driving barefoot, which is finally helping me get the feel for throttle-blipping. I'm sure there's something horribly wrong with that.

I have the Piloti Mulholland II's in Black, orange, and royal blue. I love them, most comfortable shoe I've ever worn...

I actually don't recommend suede if you do open wheel and get caught in rain, or otherwise get them really wet. That aside, I like them.

careful driving barefoot, the back of the peddles (esp the dead pedal) may have some sharp edges that will easily slice your foot

puma sierra trail racers version l and ll.
I have a few pairs, black and silver, silver black and blue, silver grey and kryton green, but the ll version look like the photo. They fit wider feet and I really like the raised rubber on the side of the shoe for heel toe. Protects while adding grip and they breath very well.

I've got a pair of black Puma Speedcats that are pretty much worn out, a black pair of the Adidas Tuscany, and a pair of Simpson nomex shoes. Which I wear driving depends on my mood.

I like the Pumas a fair bit. I have something like these midcats (grey/white w red stripe instead) which are really fantastic, and then I have a black suede low pair, "carbon fiber" heel, which are decent but have the goofy split heel with tire treads. Not recommended except they look great and fit in Elise footwell. Pumas are a very tight fit and expect a pretty low instep, so your mileage may vary.

Then I've got my cheap synthetic suede karting shoes, which I don't like so much, so 'nuf said about that.

Anybody tried the Oakleys ?

I have several pairs of Speed cats, including the ones below. With small, narrow feet, these Pumas are the perfect driving shoe for the Elise!

I have a pair of the tan Puma Speed Cats but I bought them because they were on sale. I still have my Didoria high tops from my FF 1600 days.
