The Porsche put him close to the wall, but in no way put him into it. The Vette tried to close the gap without enough room, the Porsche tapped the brakes but was too late. Vette = spun out and into the wall due to driver error.

I can promise you what happened was Bergmeister in the Porsche overslowed into 11 to make sure he could get on the power first for the run to start finish, inducing the bump. To then drive all the way over to the wall like that when it was just a drag race to the line and no need to defend into turn 1 is unacceptable.
Driver error inducing the spin????? Only someone who is not a racer would say that. Mganusson was forced into a part of the track with no grip and I suspect the cars touched on the corvette' right side, inducing the spin. |
