You only hit one? You aren't trying very hard are you?
I like to think of the cones as targets Spins are fun though aren't they.

Larry,
Small note on my times: I don't think I got a 42.702 on my final run; 43.822 was my best time from what I recall. (Might have something to do with running over the timer thingy at the finish )

Thanks for all your hard work on putting this together.

Cheers,

Jay

Wanted to give everyone a heads up. April will be a clinic (10 spots) and practice (50 slots).

Registration opens up first thing tomorrow:

MotorsportReg.com : Motorsport Events Calendar

The usual drill- club member only for the first week. Have also added a "sign up" for the setup crew (limited to 8).

rnr- there is a line forming behind you. We've already booked 21 spots. 5 of 10 for the clinic and 6 of 8 for the setup crew. It's nice but am pleasantly surprised.

Yes, it was me driving for the 41.556. Very proud, and thanks also to Jason who gave me some pointers to shave off a few tenths to achieve that time.

For April, we are down to 4 open spots. With it opening up to non-members in a few days, expect it to be sold out by the end of the week.

Not sure if I'm grasping the concept here; so if I show up on 26 April, I'll be turned away unless I pre-registered? Sorry, I was used to running with the Loma Prieta chapter of the Porsche club, where it was a first come first served event.

Should I not bother showing up on Sunday? I'm not interested in spectating only...

Rob,

Dropped you a PM going over it, in more detail.

For others that are interested and not familiar with our events. Registration is handle through motorpsortreg.com. Only club members can sign up in the first week. Due to a hard cap on the driver count (and being our 4th season with many regulars) we typically sell out in 1-1.5 weeks. For non-members, there is a option to become a member and if you will being doing that we can allow you to sign up early.

Once the wait list form, club members go to the head of the line and Lotus owners to the very top. The norm is enough driver generally drop out that club members get moved off the wait list. However for this weekend only one person dropped out a few weeks ago and the wait list is still 8 deep.

Just wondering whether the autocross event on Saturday the 26th at Marina airport is open for anyone to watch. I have always loved lotuses and took my first test drive in an elise last week and am officially in love. Would love to watch and hear from experienced owners. Hope to see you there!

Lotus_CA - just to make sure it was not a typo on your end but this weekend it's Sunday 4/26.

We should be running from 9 am to about 4 or so (we'll end the day with instructor only runs). So other the about a 1/2 hour during lunch, we should have cars running. Sure, as others have already said, your welcome to stop by and catch a few rides and talk shop. If you don't bring your helmet, we usually have a few loaners.

-- Thanks, I would have been there Saturday wondering why no one was there, but I just looked at my calendar and now see the 26 is Sunday. That works out better for me. Thanks for correcting my mistake
