Think we had 1 no-show in March and everyone there for April. In this case we had 8-10 drop out in the last week, several no-shows and a few not covering all of their work assignments.
that is odd...Justine and I were bummed we couldn't make it. Our entire household was sick. I was hoping I'd wake up Sat morning and be ok to go, by no joy. First time I had to skip an event due to being sick

Reno-Fernley - using about 2/3rds of the course

Was surprised at how "packed" the first two events stayed. Suppose this one was the way of balancing the season out.

rnr- 2/3 of Reno-Fernley is still going to be a pretty good size course. Good luck!

I finally published the results

Folks, thanks for every one who came and made it happen

I'm still figuring out AxWare so results were a little late.

Note: PAX points are calculated for all classes combined. In the end this will still allow us to tell the champion in each class.

It looks like for PAX'ed points the software won't do it separately for each class no matter how hard I tried but lumps all classes together so don't be surprised. At least it preserves the order so we should still be able at the end of the season to tell champions in each of the 3 classes. I'll need to ponder this one more.

Points are only calculated for GGLC members who registered for competition classes. Rest of the results include every one.

I took a few pictures at last weekend’s autocross and will try to get them posted (most likely on Flickr). I’m going to be on the road for the next week, so I’m not sure when they’ll get posted. Here’s a quick few for now.

A FYI, registration open this morning and over 1/2 the spots are taken for June 27. Unless you don't mind getting on the waiting list, sign up soon if your interested.

My run group sold out before I got registered. So I'm in B for once...

Thanks everyone for the extra pics. Nice to see some other views and a rare treat to see a few of my car on course.

Yup, June is sold out. On to the waitlist. club members go to the front of the line. We've pretty much always been able to get the club members off the waitlist. Though it usually the week before the event. For May, everyone made it in. So go ahead and sign up if you find you've got the time.

Here is the video from the March and May Autox (missed taking any for April). Around the 42 sec mark is Tintin getting lose. Def your moment came around the 3:12 mark. On the audio you can hear when it started to come around, the video only caught the last half of it.

Nice editing and thanks Larry. A nice compilation that shows everyone else what GGLC autoxs are like for those who haven't been. Maybe this will encourage some more lotus to come out?

And yep - I had already given up right as I come on screen and had both feet in, then I was just along for the ride.

I don't think that was a good spot to try to save it since it's on the edge of the course and I was carrying some speed

Registration is set to up open first thing tomorrow for the July 18th (Saturday) points event #3 (of 6) autocross.

MotorsportReg.com : Golden Gate Lotus Club Autocross announces 2009 GGLC Autocross Points Event 3 (Sat 18, Jul 2009) info at Marina Airport, Marina, CA 93933 (5246)

The usual drill. Club members only can sign up in the first week, then it opens up to everyone. Limited car count and at least 12 runs for everyone with lunch being brought on site. Coaches available for pretty much every session to help out if needed / wanted.

I need to be back to Milpitas by 5 pm this Sat. My run group is 3 so I am looking for someone in run group 1 to swap only the afternoon session. This way I will be able to change the tires after runs and head back home right after work. Please let me know if you can help. Thanks.

Oh, and here is my video from the event: GGLC Autocross 6/27/2009 on Vimeo

Did not realize I was that far off in the slalom... A better driver would have gotten the car into 42s... This was a 43.600s run.

42.8 sec run with a bunch of mistakes:

Not aggressive enough in the slalom
Outbraked myself at 0:18
Bad understeer at 0:29
Oversteer at 0:39

I should have done a very low 42 at the very least. In the end my fastest laps were a 42.5 +1 and a 42.6 legal. Its interesting to see that Nick and I have different lines through the two u-turns. Did the data logger folks see any laptime difference between lines?
