A heads up, in about a days time close to 1/2 the spots are taken. It maybe sold out in the next week or so. If your interested don't wait too long. Likewise don't worry too much if you end up on the waitlist. We have a few that can't make it. Some will be last second or even the day of. Which means odds are good we could fit you in.

Gilroy Garlic Festival is this weekend... probably best to take 17S to 1 if youre coming from the bay? (Instead of 101/152/1)

Yup, am getting ready to send a email out to those attending. Reminding them it's a Sunday (rather then our usual Saturday). And warn them about the drive home, morning would be fine.

BTW- this one sold out in a little over a week, with a rather long wait list (club members go to the head of the line and think they all got in). Should have the Sept 6 (Sat) one open in the next few days.

Great autox yesterday. Too bad there were no fun runs. Some of us have cried for more seat time

It was a fun if a rather cold day. Haven't seen the time logs, pretty sure Jason pulled TTOD on has last run. Hopefully he'll post up a video clip. Looked over some of the photos, will try to sort through more and post a few tonight.

Yeah, you and rnr, need more seat time.

Thanks to all involved (Larry, Kiyoshi, Colm, Alex, Jason etc etc). Had a blast. Really fun course, probably my favorite so far. My driving is improving greatly - almost catching up to some of the quicker drivers 11 runs isn't the most we've had but its understandable since the day ran so late. Thanks again Larry!

Kevin- the alignment and fresh tires didn't hurt either. Don't know if you've worked with a insturctor much since the clinic but we've got several very good ones. They can work wonders in pulling time out of a run.

Before the next event, we'll be picking up some new cables, fresh batteries for the timers and a better mounts for them. Hopefully we can cut down on all those re-runs, due to timer issues, we had this time around.

Last run I dipped into the 43s I think? Running R888s. I helped out and worked the course the last run group of the day (no one was out there so I ran out to help), and realized how fast some of you were taking the 2nd slalom. Probably wasted a second (maybe a little more) by braking too hard on that one.

It helps to work out there early and see how other cars are running. For some reason I've just been running Group A. Then when I work, I'm starter, so I don't really see how well the cars are doing in each corner

The sticky notes that were used were NOT sticky - lost most of the colored afternoon ones. Didn't stick inside the alumnium glove box thing. So I'm not too sure of my times

Thanks to the crew that makes these events go and to rnr for getting the equipment on site (even if it was extra early).

Jason for a very fun course, through it was hard on the cones and some folks brakes.

Thanks for a great autocross on Sunday. Great course design and wonderful to get 11 runs (I'm so used to 3 runs at SCCA events). Thanks especially to Jason and Nikko for car set up and driving tips.

Shelly- glad you could make it... think your car got a little more work out then 11 runs.

For us that has been the low count of the season. With fun runs it's been more like 14-16. Think some of the drivers are getting use to that. We'll try hard to keep it that way.

Larry, thank you for all the prep work on your part to host the event. With three drivers, my car got quite the work out - almost time for new tires!
The thing I've liked best about your events (besides lots of runs) has been that the other drivers have been so friendly and helpful and fun.
Looking forward to the Sept. autocross.

Here you go, this is the video from the 40.6. About 14mb, wmv
14mb wmv, please save first

Larry, I didn't see how many cones were left after setup, but if we were low we might want to pick up another 50. We usually destroy a couple an event.

rnr, which was your fast run so I can do the video?

I hit the rev limiter before getting to the slalom. Its the stock limiter but I did see the needle bounce a bit when I hit it. It didn't overrev.
