Thanks Colm and Larry. For some reason I thought I remembered getting down into the low 40s, but after looking at it, seems only only guys with slicks got down there. I'm pretty happy with my 44.657 on R888s

Only because of the sport package and new R888's! Thinner front AD07s is a large disadvantage

Looking over the times. Colm had a good 2 seconds on you on the offical timed runs and was able to pull a few 10ths in the "fun" runs. Key for the series is to be able to get a quick run within the first three. But for your first season, your catching up quick.

serpentor- You can sign up, to get on the waitlist. It's 17 deep. Club members go to the front(1), then Lotus owner (think it's 1). So that would put you around the #3 spot. Most likely you would get in. However it maybe be with a week to a few days notice.

Hey, I have to thank everyone again for the help and the many laps at the 7/27 autocross. It helped me get faster in my car. I ran at the SCCA autocross today and took PAX #5 for the event (very proud!)

Your events and your members rock!!

I didn't get to see your run, as we just stopped by for a couple of minutes around lunch on the way back from a mt. biking weekend, but I did see the course, which was NOT super Elise friendly...well, it was wide, which gave the opportunity to maintain a momentum line, but the severity of the turns did not favor the torque challenged...all I can say is, AWESOME Job!

It would be great if more of the GGLC autocrossers would run SCCA. Yes, you do only get three competition runs (plus fun runs, quite often), so you will get less seat time, but it does give the opportunity to play in a bigger pond...and, as Shelly has proven, it can be done successfully!

Thanks, Mike. The tight sections of the course on Sunday were also pretty narrow. Not Shelby friendly either!

I would like to see more GGLC folks at the SCCA events. It's lonely with just two die-hard Lotus Elise entries most of the time. The GGLC drivers are plenty screamin' fast to be competitive with the quickest folks in SCCA.

Claus, you're 5th on the GGLC member waitlist (overal waitlist >25 people now). We closed (suspended) registration at this point.

Well, since my clutch expired during FF275 dyno tuning, I won't have an Elise to run (if I even get in) so either I have to run the A8 (that actually sounds kind of like fun but AFAIK you can't turn of ESP in that car) or pass.

I'd love to come and watch and maybe hitch a few rides... would some of you be willing to add my extra weight? I have my own helmet.

Sorry to hear about the clutch... but I'd say just stand near the start box with your helmet on and your thumb out!

Cheers!

Claus I'll pick ya up when my roommate isn't riding shotgun. Got an HD camcorder for recording my runs. Not sure if I'll have time to figure out a good mount before then, may just chasecam-suction-cup it to the top of the roll bar area. Shouldn't fall off..... shouldn't

We’ve only had 1-2 drop out. Know of one person ahead of you on the wait list that plans to show up. But if we end up with a couple of no shows (fairly common) and your there, you can take the open spot.

If not, doubt you’d have problems catching a few rides.

Last one is Nov 1st. We'll have sign ups for that one ready to go in the next week or so (club members, only the first week).

Apart from the first 3 runs, you can jump in with me and I'll show you all the ways that I screw up

Patrick- There are several club members ahead of you. Know of two of them that plan on showing up. So if there are any no shows, the slots go to them. We only had 1 no-show at the last event. Unless several give notice and drop out tonight... if your still interested I can let you know tonight, if enough spots open up.
