Same here. Including the screwing up. I drive the dirty yellow Elise with lots of stickers. Yes, I will clean it someday, and it will be so nice and shiny that nobody recognizes it anymore.

ConeFusion, yeah- the shiny parts will be where the sticker were.
cstetter, sounds like you got some good offers. From the street tires of Tintin to the slicks of ConeFusion- both very quick drivers. PedalPounder- do you know who logs the runs. If it comes to that, you better keep your official sign off time slips. ![]() |

Reto- Ooh boy think cstetter can learn something from you. He might have mad skillz too but
he's never shown them. Your car will be much cleaner then he's use to, just the way it is now. cstetter- is that a Lotus thing or can we expect the same from the A8? Patrick, SVAG is still trying to get a hold of the BBQ guy, but the last few years they've put on a very nice spread, for the last event. Keep in mind we sold out the last few within 1.5 weeks and non-members have to wait a week, so don't wait, long. |

Err, let's just say everybody will immediately figure out who that A8 belongs to... I solemnly swear to treat the Elise to a full detail just as soon as I get it back from Forcedfed and Rob had a chance to fix my passenger seat and center console. There - it's on record now ![]() Thanks for all the ride offers, guys - I already took my shiny new helmet out of the box and am ready to go tomorrow morning ![]() |

Made it home OK. Note to self: get engine mount inserts and new T-clamp for exhaust!!! I am lucky it was a somewhat easy (if only temporary) fix and not something worse. Thanks to Nick (green elise... on LT??) for lending me tools to fix it up real quick.
Big thanks to Larry, Koyoshi, Colm and all the others who helped make this happen. Had a blast. 3 out of 5 morning runs were spins for me, then only got 2 elise runs in during the afternoon (2 GTO runs), but still had an awesome time. Will post some videos later from my runs. Oh and welcome to the new gglc auto-x newbie Claus!!! Soon he will get addicted like me and be asking himself "I had an elise for 2 years before I went to an auto-x??? What was I thinking!"

By far this was our nicest day (weather-wise ) at Marina. We had several drivers joining us for the first time. Also a nice mix of cars- from a “beater”, land yacht and a few Lotus for good measure.
Only one more event, to end the season. It’s gone by quickly … |

My first event
Thank you Larry for your help.
I enjoyed my first Auto cross here in the States, after more than 15 years of absence since last time I drove a slalom event in Japan. That was nice to feel Exige's potential and may be I need some upgrade on it. I am looking forward to join next event in November. Hiro

Huge huge kudos to Larry and Colm. Another very efficiently run event.
So, a bit of a plea to GGLC members. Let's not let Larry, Alexander and Colm have all the burden (fun) of putting these events on. They can use our help. It would be great to see more members involved in the operations. I'm sure you've seen that Larry only gets to squeeze a few runs. Seems like the guy that is putting all of this together for us should be able to get his share of his runs. ![]() Cheers, Kiyoshi P.S. A small hijack... don't forget the WCLM Oct 2-5. There's a Time Trial and a full day of AutoXing. You should be able to get more than your fill of driving!
