Hey, that is from the anual Maarten Memorial charity run (Home | MaartenMemorial - sorry website is in Dutch).

The run is in memory of Maarten van Sten. He was the owner of an independent Lotus workshop in the Netherlands and an absolute Lotus nutter. He died age 27 of cancer...

When I was living in the Netherlands I joined twice. It is amazing to be able to give such a great day to someone who really deserves it.
In the previous years a total off over $750,000 was raised. All of it going straight to a cancer research clinic.

Sorry about the more serious note, but I thought this was a story worth telling.

Here's Bedford Trackday on the 12th of June, 2009
Evo's second track evening of the summer at Bedford's South West circuit.

"The second Evo Track Evening of the 2009 season took place on Friday June 12. It was another fully subscribed event, and there was an abundance of fairly pricey and very tasty stuff lapping the South West circuit of Evo’s home track. We even got spiffing weather, with sun and warmth throughout.

That was good news for drivers of the hairier stuff, which included a Lotus 2-Eleven and a hilariously loud race-spec Aston V8 Vantage. There was also a Nissan GT-R, an Impreza, and a couple of Audi R8s."

Pagani invited a small group of Zonda owners over to the factory last week, in order to take part in a three-day tour of Tuscany. Before they all left Horacio organised a quick demonstration on the wild Zonda R. This wasn't on track though, it was to be around the public roads near where Pagani are based in Modena.

It was hardly a surprise when, after several noisy runs in the slick-tyred, non-taxed or registered- Zonda R, the Police turned up for a closer look at what was going on.

After checking the test driver's licence, Pagani got away with just a 28 Euro fine for excessive noise but, apart from that, everything was deemed to be fine!

The next Iron Man movie is not expected to hit theaters until April 2010, but we've got a peek at one of the cars to be featured in the much-anticipated Iron Man 2.

This is the Stark Industries-sponsored Formula 1 race car that the movie's main protagonist — genius inventor and swashbuckling lady's man Tony Stark – will be driving in a scene that depicts him racing in the Monaco Grand Prix. The scene is not being filmed on the actual streets of the tiny, glamorous seaside principality near the south of France, but on an elaborate set that replicates the Monaco circuit on a Hollywood studio back lot. We're not sure what the Stark Industries Grand Prix car is based on exactly, but this image leads us to believe that a fully functional race car — perhaps a Formula Ford or Formula Mazda car – resides beneath that blue-and-white Stark Motor Sports livery. Check out the Avon racing slicks and transmission sticking out the back of the car beneath the rear wing.

The sequel to the blockbuster 2008 action hero flick once again features Robert Downey Jr. in the lead role as Iron Man/Tony Stark, with Mickey Rourke playing his nemesis, weapons designer and assassin, Whiplash.

The all-star cast also includes Don Cheadle (replacing Terrance Howard) as Colonel James "Rhodey" Rhodes, along with another comic book hero character — CIA agent Nick Fury, played by Samuel L. Jackson. Leading ladies include Gwyneth Paltrow, who returns as Tony Stark's executive secretary, Pepper Potts, along with Scarlett Johansson as another comic book character, Russian super spy Natalia Romanova, a.k.a. Black Widow.
