I don't know, I've never had the normal seats. I find them very comfortable, but not many people fit in them ![]()

the car looks great
and with regard to the seats - I did about a 3000 mile tour of the southwest this summer in my car, which is basically identical, with my wife and with some small bits of strategic foam the seats are great for even long runs - its the lack of ability to move our feet around that gets to you after awhile, with all the talk of seats for the elise and exige I always wondered why more people didn't use the caterham seats - they are light and if you fit they are great

I guess I wasn't clear enough - I have basically the same car as Mopho - so it has the caterham superlight racing seats - I think they are fiberglass and not carbon fiber, but I might be wrong, they are really great seats, but you have to sit in them to be sure you fit. I'm 5'11 and about 165 and my shoulders are pretty wide from swimming in the old days and I barely fit. For really long runs - I'm talking over 3 hours - I put a small piece of high density foam about the size of a shoe box top in the lumbar area and that is just enough support to make it very comfortable. Like I said before, it wasn't the seat that made me want to take breaks, it was being able to move my legs around. My wife is tiny and put all sort of stuff on her seat to make a little nest, she's a pretty good sport but she didn't complain about the seat either, she added stuff mostly so she could sit a little higher. Here is a picture of the car, just like Mopho except unpainted nose cone, 13 inch motorsport wheels, and FIA roll bar and in this shot it has a half hood from soft bits for sevens - this is the configuration we used for the trip. Texas to northern california and back. Awesome trip, would do it again in a second. I'll post more pictures and details at some point. Thats me in the orange shirt and my wife with her WW1 fighter helmet and goggles (she wore that crap the entire trip, which sort of added to the side show nature of it all)

CF is an eye candy option for the seats, but the seats in mine and Jaspers are a plastic composite weave (fiberglass?).

yeah i figured they were more eye candy then anything. the regular leather seats are so comfortable too, more more then the elise's. does any one happen to know the weight savings the carbon fiber front and rear fenders and the nose cose weigh compared to the stock fiberglass ones? i am going to repaint my car in the future and want to switch to the carbon ones
