Please don't ask for hi-res images again - let skiddo keep us enthralled with this thread!

I don't blame anyone for asking, but I don't think it's fair to ask Skiddo for high res pics - he's a pro photographer who does this stuff for his living.

It's easier for me say the above, than it is for Skiddo (he's a really top guy), so I hope no-one takes offence - none is intended.

Happy motoring

i appreciate you guys chipping in.

i'm not offended by people asking at all - it is flattering that people like them so much they would have them as a back drop on their computers.

the problem is control - lots of photographers have their work stolen and used without their permission. i think that with the size they are on here i'm fairly safe that unscrupulous people can't exploit what i'm doing. any bigger, what is to stop anybody printing and selling or even worse, passing my work off as their own? the answer is nothing.

edit to add: i'm not in anyway suggesting that people here have intentions of doing that - i have sent many desktops back channel when people have asked via pm and i've been comfortable that they are for real.

i don't shoot my car for a living or commercial gain. i shoot it for pleasure. i like sharing how it's progressing here on elisetalk and will continue to do so as long as people are enjoying the thread.

i mentioned earlier how i have vicky's pic as my desktop surrounded in black, it looks great.

i'll think some more about it, maybe randy might wanna think about all the photography enthusiasts on here submitting images for a download desktop section?

Skiddo, how about if I set you up a shopping cart system to sell wallpapers?

You can add a digital watermark to prove the work is yours, actually. Probably good enough for eBay to take down an auction if you were to find one and complain about it.

I personally don't think there's much need for concern on ET. More cool photos, please. Your stuff is great.

i know, tc, but that would spoil the viewing enjoyment here. i have no real concerns at this resolution, bigger and i get a little twitchy.

do people really want to buy desktops drew?

selling the desktops might not be a bad idea. You can monitor the sizes of the images being sold as well. Slightly higher prices for higher res desktops.

I know it's not an S2, Storm Titanium or at an industrial shoot, but these are a couple of "Skiddo pics" of my pride & joy (apologies to those who've already seen them):

Thanks Pesky! I was going to ask Skiddo to add a couple of these as a counterpoint to the great Storm Titanium photos!

AND such a counterpoint
