Skiddo - thanks - likewise! Yeah - after 9/11 there are concrete blocks at many interesting sites. It's at least nice when they try to make them fit in a bit. Most places just use huge concrete lane dividers.

Agreed - front plates suck. Many states here in the US require them - fortunately, I don't live in one of them.

Looking forward to seeing more of your great work!

i'm thinking of taking my plate off and having it attached with velcro - i retouch it out of every shot and end up with a big black void...

attached bloody big plate and untouched up pain in the ass ballards!

More nice shots! I think, if I lived in a place which required the plate, I would do the velcro thing. Ideally, in a color matched velcro.

Actually, the bollards in that shot aren't too bad... kinda interesting looking and you made the best of it with the composition.

it's where they interfere with the lines on the car or distract within the bigger shapes trying to simplify the background.

just noticed your other shoot with the CO - have you two elises?

Very much agreed - hate when they screw up an otherwise clean shoot.

Yes, two. They each seem to be suited for different shooting moods... CO is especially good in bright sun...

And STi is especially good in lower light situations...

you lucky, lucky lad! elises to suit moods that is class!!!!

railings are another as are bins! shooting would be so much easier without them.

i like to try and keep it simple - what doesn't add something i try not to let it feature...

heavily under-exposed here and then retouched to remove the traces that were left.

Very nice composition and use of light and contrast in all your photos - great work!

Yeah - not big on railings either. The bridge shoot unfortunately had no other spot on the waterfront with a good view of the bridge, so I just tried to make the best of it.

really looking forward to see your efforts.

have been thinking about dropping evosal who lives in my town an email to see if i can shoot his recently restored white S1 typeR... see if can put my money where my mouth is!
Let me know when you are planning to do this, I live in germany but all my family live in the manchester area. I am often around your way.

Come to think of it, i am planning to visit in early april, my brother is racing in britsports at oulton park.............could be a good photo shoot.

Just noticed skiddo has placed 1st, 2nd, and 4th in the exiges.com desktop calendar voting!

Would really like to see more of your work - even if it doesn't include Exiges.

Saturday april 8th the britsports are racing at Oulton Park.

Its a bit of a flying visit for me to watch him in the first race of the season, but if you fancy a trip out to the track we could hook up.
