Track Days and More... "Photoshop"

After a good 8 years of track events, have lots of photos. Recently started to go through them and tried out some photoshop effects, mainly paint and brush stuff. Will share some of them and a few others here.

Lotus 79, with Mario at the wheel, 30 years after his and Lotus F1 championship. Laguna Seca, Historic Races 2008:

A more modern day F1, Toyota. Again at the Historic races at Laguna Seca 2006. For a while it held the track record at- 1'06. As well as some earlier race-cars that run it at a much more leisurely pace.

1957- 625 TRC

Into the dirt & a little opposite lock.

Bare bones interior of a race car.

Lotus 11

A Colin Chapman design. About 270 were made, between 1956-58.

Sure. As long as the same basic approach/effects as I'm using are put to work. Slaughtr- in your case NO, extra big heads are allowed.

I'm still trying to find out what techniques he used. I think he liquified the background, but that's as much as I know right now. I like the sun effect as well.

Toyota/Yamaha Power

The 2000GT is widely consider Japan's first sport car. It used a Toyota motor that was heavily reworked by Yamaha. They sent 3 over, that Shelby prep for racing in the States. This one was driven by Scott Patrick, who is again behind the wheel, some 40 years later. At the Corkscrew.

Toyota/Yamaha powered Elise. Turn 11, Laguna Seca.

Moby Dick

Porsche 935/78- Built with one race in mind, LeMans. Was the fastest car on the straights, doing 235mph and qualifying 3rd. However they had to change engines, right before the race and deal with a oil leak during. They finished 8th.

#40, LeMans 1976, finished 1st in class and 4th overall.

3 Wheeling

Chaired an autocross series for a few years. Was common for a AWD or even a FWD to put a tire in the air. An Elise with a stiff suspension and slicks could do it too.

Ferrari VS Porsche

These two went at it all race long. In the end, the Flying Lizard Porsche, pulled out the win. The Ferrari put a good fight and had the battle scars to prove it... as you can see, from the video clip.

Enjoy sharing them, it beats them collecting "digital dust". Will start throwing in some off-topic Friday stuff.
