Claims crash structure replaced, but then answers a frame question saying it "never needed to be put on a rack."

I have seen it on eBay before - looks like previous sales were not successful...

After checking out the VIN, I know we sold it new at Fox Valley. I looked up the owner and found out I know who it was, but I didnt meet him until he was driving an Exige S, so I dont know this particular car. I will try to contact him to find out more info, but he no longer has a Lotus, so I will need to see if i can get his number. I will post if I find anything out.

Thanks, I've been window shopping for an Elise for a few years now... waiting on getting finances in order, etc. and if I could find a deal, I'd snap it up. But in following this forum I've learned what go watch for and wouldn't want to make a huge mistake in terms of safety in a rebuilt Lotus.
