Unhappy Bad lotus wreck

Cincinnati - east side - Mount Lookout area. Red Elise (non sport).

I found these on a gaming forum just now. He thought it was a ferrari so the images are tagged wrong.

PICS REMOVED - REFER TO POST 14

Here's what he said...
Quote:
Looks like it was going left to right, hit my driveway, and broke itself in half.

He just said it was confirmed fatal.

I am going to take down the pics since the emergency crews had just arrived when he took the pictures. The car is literally split in half at the windscreen.

The cabin looks like it survived, hope all walked away. Don’t know what was going on, but that was not the right street to drive fast on. I‘m not accusing any one of speeding for as I said I don’t know what was going on.

Just read post 2. Never know what to say with this type of thing. Hope there was no pain and it was quick.

A little more info on the road:

Quote:
Speed limit is 35; this is a two-lane. That said, I routinely see people doing 60+. Cops go even faster.

The catch is that there's a bend in the road right in front of my place. This isn't the first fatality I've seen. The last time was a few years back, when a motorcyclist was doing 80 going from R to L, missed the bend, and put himself into the back of a parked van across the street. No helmet, shorts, flipflops.

I have been getting a few requests to post the pictures. Even though you cannot see it, the driver was still in the car when the pictures were taken so I have removed them. One of the photos is a panorama of the street and the lotus is very small. I guess I will post it, if this is unacceptable I will remove it or an admin can for me. I'm not sure what is acceptable in these circumstances
