Just a quick question. Since it's a total loss, will qball get a full amount of his current value of the car OR full amount to get another Elise replacement (possibly an 06 or 07)? It's two different value we are talking about here.

For me, my current value would include all the receipts for the stuff in my signature, PLUS the time to install them.
Painted shift knob: 3 hours of labor Harness bar install: 8 hours of labor Painted tow hook: 2 hours of labor Multivex mirror install: 2 hours of labor etc. I'd be generous and only charge $250/hour for the installs.

How we lift them!
This is how we lift them @ Dietsch Werks, We don't use a two post lift or a floor jack. Our new shop will have two of these lifts - Rob.

qball should demand a brand new car from the 06 Elises. It's not his fault that the shop drops the car. |

See the underside of the front clam on the yellow Elise?
That's what happens when you aren't going REALLY SLOWLY in and out of driveways... Great photo!

Dietsch Werks, Thanks for the pics - I posted some similar pics on an earlier page - You should mention to the owner of that yellow Elise to check for Oil Leaks - he has some obvious oil saturating around the tray bolt - not much but enough to warrant a check!

F'in weird. I just bumped into one of our staff anesthesiologists here in the hosiptal who knows I drive a Liz. He says, "Hey, a buddy of mine from our Alfa forum just emailed me a picture of an Elise that you gotta see. Some guy backed it off lift."
Man, it's amazing how this thing has gone global.

Probably. But I'd still like to see a happy ending to this all. Losing a valued car is like losing a friend. It sucks.
