It's called a "new car replacement policy" for new cars. I wouldn't be surprised if it only aavilable for cars covered by the policy from new.

And, I was watching random stuff on YouTube, and saw the title of this vid, and knew I had to link it.

Beware

We should all print these photos and include them in the manual when our cars are (for some unknown reason) in a non Lotus shop. It the shop owner sees the photos they should be very very careful. Or - if they refuse to work on the car - fine.

Good Luck to you - I hope all works out.

Car replacement policy.

Just got the figures in. They cannot find an Isuzu Ascender 2007 with 7 seats bo the 07 only have 5 seats and probably that will be the last year of the Isuzu.
They found an 06 which they figure will cost 29k, I owe 13k, so the balance is 16k which I pray, I will receive soon. $ 16,000.00 Does this mean FF turbo? Ah the pain, the agonizing choices and possibilities!!!

Gqball,

Are you still waiting for Goodyear's Insurance Appraiser to determine replacement value?

Update: The appraiser has determined the value of my car, which is very close to what I requested. They are just waiting for one of the VPs of Goodyear to sign off on it and it will be done. It is a fair settlement. I will exchange the settlement check and signed agreement in exchange for the title of the car

If anyone has any interest in the salvaged vehicle, PM me your name and contact phone # and I will pass it on to the insurance caompany. I am not purchasing it. The insurance company will be selling the vehicle.

I told them I have already received several inquiries about it. I don't know what they want for it, but it comes with everything as I installed it.

2005 Elise (#435) with dual oil coolers and anodized LSS rims
3,900 miles
Touring, Sports Pack
ITG Intake
Stage II Exhaust
Upgraded headlight bulbs
PC545 Lightweight Battery
Bling bling aluminum oil filler cap and crest
Alpine 9830 Stereo, Polk Momo 650 speakers (rear) and Alpines in the front
Micro Mirror
Leather/aluminum shift knob
Tony Wattwood's A/C heater core bypass switch

Vehicle may exhibit handling marks and wear and tear from bring dropped off lift.

Disclaimer: I do not know if there is any mechanical damage (car was not started after drop)
I do not know how easily repairable the cosmetic and chassis damage will be to repair.
I do not know if there is any suspension damage (front or rear)
Car comes with original A048 tires.
I have no financial interest if the car sells or not.

We should declare an EliseTalk holiday when you hit 200,000. Probably tomorrow.

The salvage on a brand new jeep i totaled was 20% of dealer invoice,30K vehicle, I bought it back for 5100 and repaired it completely for 2700

Insurance paid off the loan and im driving a new jeep, sort of for 8k. But its a jeep not a lotus.

I'm sure you're a great guy qball but this thread is such a drag.

Depressing.

Old.

Done.

Let it go qball. We'll get to know you for some OTHER reason.

Larry - I don't understand your reaction. You aren't being forced to read this thread, right?

If the number of hits keeps increasing, it would seem that others are still interested.

Just wanted to make sure it hit the 200K quota.

I still get PMs asking about the status, updates, settlement issues, etc. Figured I'd post them here to reduce my PMs.

Larry... if it bothers you SO much, then don't read this thread... but you always seem to come here and complain about it.

Qball

P.S. I have let it go. Turned in the old tag today and voided the registration.
My old car is no more and I have a new one coming.

Hopefully Monday or Tuesday. I chose Intercity Lines based on the recommendations here.

BTW, my experience with Autostrada has been exemplary to date. Very professional and great communication. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them or buy from them again.

Yeah, the guys at Autostrada are great. Coincidentally I was up there last weekend and saw your car -- it looks amazing. I hadn't seen a SY Exige in real life before. You're going to be a happy man.
