You have to relax, don't make yourself crazy. You're doing everything you can to make this right. You'll get a new car and it'll be ok.

Any kind of accident puts your body into shock.

We all feel terrible about what happened and we are all here to help you.

qball, you know I feel for you and have my total sympathy but - I am glad no one was hurt and I even sympathise with with the tech that F'd up, Really - who here hasn't messed something up? and it could have happened anywhere including any dealership, Heck- I have had more damage caused by dealerships than privately owned shops.
I can only imagine what that tech is going through - We know what you are going through but is this kid even going to have a job after this? An expensive lesson to be sure!
If you need an Attorney let me know, My best friend has already handled a couple Elise Totals with the insurance companies and understands the car.

When the company decides that they can work on any car, THEY BETTER KNOW WHAT THE HELL THAT ARE DOING.

It's not the fault of the tech, its the fault of the manager and the owner.

Yes... I am grateful no one was injured. Supposedly it came close to hitting one of the techs. They informed me they had 3 guys manning the car while it was being lifted. I assume it was not lifted at the correct points and once the wheel was removed, it fell off balance.

Regarding the tech and his job status, that is between the company and the tech.

I am still waiting to hear from Goodyear.

Patiently waiting.....

Ferrari shop here uses a floor jack... and the ask for the lug torq. spec too and torq. then my hand - no air jacks touch your car there...

that really really sucks!! the worst part is there is no reason they should have put it on a lift in the first place... and i doubt they would have taken the diffuser anyways and blocked it up even if they had read it, or they read and didn't bother to, and then claimed they didn't read it? sux... hopefully it will go back together rather painless for you!!!

It is a perfect, painful example of what can happen to our cars when worked on by the wrong people.

These are not ordinary cars. They require very special care and handling.

+1 ...even then the garage was sweating the last time I changed the tires on my Esprit. Maybe that had something to do with my eyes never leaving them for a second...
