Hey, get a transexual and solve both problems. Mail man Randy (local PO worker) is now mail woman Randi, and I can't tell you how many regulars have gone out with her (not knowing).

I'm sorry for the loss of your car, but I'm happy to hear that she was able to walk away. It's quite a tribute to the structural engineering of the Exige.
Car collision problems are a staple of freshman physics, so I cannot resist taking pencil to paper. Assuming a 2 foot high embankment at a 20 degree angle, I figure the car must have launched at a speed of at least 42 MPH. That ignores the lamp post contact. Also, the speed to attain 82 feet is highly dependent on the launch angle. Last edited by Kermit : 11-11-2009 at 06:34 PM. |

Cars can be replaced, but not people. Glad to hear she made it out ok.

WOW!!! Glad she is ok, and you're right... a car can be replaced.
Just me, but instead of holding it over her head of condemning her (not that you are by any means, but more of general comment toward anyone who might hold a grudge or prevent their wives from enjoying their machinery in the future), I would think this is a perfect opportunity for education. Maybe a couples' retreat to a full Skip Barber course is in order. It would be a fun experience for the two of you, and she may put to rest any fears that may have cropped up from the experience of the aerial car crash and would give her some chance to enjoy the physics of it all in a controlled environment.
