2005 Storm Titanium Totalled
VIN: SCCPC11125HL32340
Just sold the car last week to a nice guy in Portland, he picked it up Friday, 12/11/2009 totaled it either late last night or earlier today 12/13/2009. Police officer said it looked like he was driving at a high rate of speed lost it through a turn and slid into a semi, impacting on the passenger side. Both airbags deployed, officer said it did not look like someone could walk away from it. He eventually tracked down the new owner, who is ok. I asked the owner for some pics, and if I get some I'll edit this post. |

Should have some pictures tomorrow, very lucky I wasn't killed or more seriously injured. Hit some black ice after accelerating at what I would not consider a high or unsafe rate of speed given what I thought the conditions were like. Sun was out but area was covered in shadows from the buildings I assumed it was just that because all other road surfaces were dry. I think everyone looks back on mistakes and thinks if only I did this or that but unfortunately you cant change what happened.

![]() My VIN is SCCPC11165HL30915 and it's an '05 Saffron Yellow Elise. Going to attempt to purchase it back from the insurance company for track usage but who knows how that will go. ![]() ![]() ![]()

After dealing with my insurance company I think I found some useful information for all of us. Insurance always tends to low ball people on estimated car values which kind of adds insult to injury. I was recommended to a person who's job it is to dispute initial car values vs what the car is actually worth. In oregon by law if a insurance company offers you a value of say 25k for your car and you know its worth more than that (28-30k) they still have to pay you that as a undisputed value upright. If you can prove that it is worth more than that either by a person who job it is to do that or by adds, internet sells of similar cars or what not then they have to pay the difference. Its kind of a hassle but I guess the moral of my post is dont settle if you know your getting screwed by your insurance

Totaled 2005 Lotus Elise from Texas
VIN# SCCPC11105HL34720
I just purchased a 2ZZ engine and was curious to find out if anyone on this forum recognized the car. I suspected the car was owned by an enthusiast because of the upgrades. I see a rear spoiler (not sure if aftermarket), aftermarket wheels and aftermarket seats with harnesses Here is a copy of the Carfax: ![]() Here’s the Elise at the salvage yard in Texas ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The damage looks pretty extensive, I hope the driver made it out OK Here are some pictures of the 2ZZ ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Looks like there appears be an ACT clutch installed. I also noticed a K&N air filter. There doesn’t appear to be any evidence of FI, I wonder if the engine had any work done to the internals. |

Seth, gald you are above ground for the holidays. Holy Crap!
Kudos to Mr Plazek for posting too. it's so nice when a smooshed car is sold with both parties having all of the info. Hopefully the next owner gets full disclosure. If so you may have a steady revenue stream here for parts and previously "loved too much" cars. |

Hi,
Any info on this 06 Storm Titanium Elise with Exige wheel upgrade? SCCPC11126HL31819 Thanks, MJ I'll post again with the VIN of my totaled Chili Red Elise I am heartbroken, but getting over it shopping for another one and cruising the forumBTW, saw the pics of the Austin, TX wreck when I was searching google images. It didn't look like it ended well for the driver. It is nice to put a name and a story to go along with the tragedy. May he rest in peace and his family find comfort in his memory. |

Anyone have any information on a 2005 Lotus Elise with VIN # SCCPC111X5HL30321.
Its a salvage title, I pm'd the gentleman on here who was selling it last year. It has since recently popped up on ebay. Any information would be great! |

I found a front passenger damaged 2005 CO Elise, CO center console & climate surround, matching hardtop on Craigslist. I'm going to email the seller to find out if I can get a VIN for it. It's presently located in Marion, IN.

Would this be the correct thread to post a buy back from Lotus on an Evora?
The car suffered flood damage while at the dealer for warranty work and has now been painted and is being offered forsale with no mention of previous damage! I would like to post the vin# and history of the vehicle in the appropriate thread. Thank You |

SCCPC11155HL31795
VIN: SCCPC11155HL31795
35 mph collision with the rear end of a van that, without looking, cut across a break in the median to dart into a parking lot. I clipped her back and smashed into the curb. Can provide repair estimate from insurance company of $25k, though they say that doesn't include the torn frame which makes the car salvage and forever un-road-worthy in the state of Florida. |

My baby, a 2005 BRP Elise, totaled on March 26th, 2013 by insurance. Drunk driver, broadside/side impact. Salvage title now. VIN SCCPC11175HL35329
Clean carfax, but that should change. No frame or chassis damage. The car is still drivable and I'm selling it currently (bought back from insurance).

SCCPC11125HL30877-Done In by A Demented Old Lady
About a month ago I was parked at the stop sign in the picture when a demented old lady literally turned left and drove over the top of me. (I have decided to include a picture of the demented old lady sitting on her walker. Her family knew she shouldn't be driving.) I bought the car 5 years old with 2,500 miles on it and put more than 40K miles on it. It was in pristine condition and I am still grieving the loss. Greatest, funnest car I have ever driven. And the folks on the Lotus TB have been the greatest to interact with!!!
I would have found it funny but it is too unbelievable and the car is not replaceable! It's not a vett or some other mass produced 2 seat car.
