Rental Helmets
I am planing on doing a track day at Summit Point. It will unfortunately most likely
be my only opportunity this year. Does anyone know if Summit Point rents helmets? I have been looking on line at some different choices. I have found out that one I have no idea what I want, two they are expensive. I don't want to rush an order or cheep out, if I could rent one I could see what I like or dislike.

I don't think most tracks rent helmets. If you have never bought a helmet, you need to go into a store that carries a few different brands and start trying them on. How much is not ending up a vegetable worth to you? As the saying goes, if you have a $10 head, buy a $10 helemt.

I have been looking for a place to go try some on but have not found a place in NoVa that carries any SA2005. Does anyone know of a place?
I know that you get what you pay for and that is why I do not want to cheep out. Does anyone have any suggestions on any brand or model helmet to look at?

Renting a helmet is like borrowing someone else's underwear. It's disgusting and unhygienic. The sweat which translates to a musky smell under heat and free shredded skin pores/flakes. No thanks.
There are cheap helmets and there are real helmets. You're better off buying a China made, just barely passed ISO standards cheap helmet than used a "common" one. |

OG Racing If you want cheap, they sell G-force helmets. I personally prefer my new Bell over my old G-force, but the Bells are more expensive. I would suggest never, ever skimping on safety equipment.
