How do I add a picture to a post? - LotusTalk

I've selected "Insert Image" and added a direct link to my picture in my Picasa Web Albums, but it does not show up in the thread.

Does it take a while for the moderator/administrator to approve the image before it is viewable, or am I doint something wrong.

The way i usually add pictures is to click "manage attachments" and then put in your URL into "Upload File from a URL".

so basically

Scroll down to the quick reply section ----> Click Go Advanced ---> scroll down to Additional Options ----> Click on Manage Attachments ---> Copy paste your URL to Upload File from a URL.

I really cant make it any easier than that.

Thanks, but I still can't figure out how to do it myself.

When I try to upload file from a URL it says I have an invalid file... does the URL need to end in .JPEG or .GIF?

Yes. Your first link was to a page, not an image. Right Mouse Button VIEW IMAGE and then copy that url

Here's a weird possibility.

I use Firefox, mostly. And I use Adblock, which screens content from known adservers.

One time, I was using IE for some reason and tried to link to the image on Fark.com. Fark didn't complain about the image, but I couldn't see it.

Of course, I found the image using IE and then could not view it in Firefox with Adblock on. I had switched browsers.

I don't see the pic in post 9 either.
