LinkedIn Lotus Talk Group?

Hi

Do the forum owners have any interest in creating a Lotus Talk professional networking group on LinkedIn?

(SELOC have one, not sure if its official.)

I'm with him ^^^
We already have a group here and are all here already. Too many social networking sites now. I'm sticking to facebook. Used to use myspace but have not logged in in months. Made a linked in site a couple years back but never used it. Have that random friend that joins some other off the wall social networking site and then wants you to make a whole nother profile on that one. Nope.

linked-in is not a social network - it is a business network. Rainier is simply asking whether linked-in members on LotusTalk would like to connect as a group.

Disclaimer: I'm on linked-in but have barely used it - am not on facebook and no plans to ever be there

No problemo.

I was just thinking out loud...

Thought it would be an easy way to identify each others business profiles however
without group security as to who joins I suppose it could be a problem
and the security version would be a headache to administer.

Based on my SRF linked in experience, i'd say "pass." The SRF crowd barely does anything with it probably because it's set up towards business and not racing, so its prob not worth it... but thanks for asking!

Sometimes I wonder if LinkedIn is *going to* become the next Facebook.

...considering that facebook is well on its way to becoming the next myspace, that's not at all speculation without precedent...

Funny thing I noticed the other day. Myspace added the "real name" thing, now facebook is adding the "user name" thing. They're nearly identical these days.

Facebook? The next MySpace? Surely you jest.

Perhaps it's time for a meta-Facebook.
