I think Lotus Talk ought to be just that, Lotus Talk.
I do not see a need for a political section, OTHER seems OK with me. I don't think the forum should be used at all for those discussions much less have its own section. If people who frequent this forum wish to engage in such discussion there is surely a place dedicated to such endeavors. The exception, of course, is political discussion as it pertains to Lotus (like when the British government wouldn't throw money at Lotus because they were too small) or general automotive. I would not necessarily ban political thread unless they became so numerous or obtrusive that they interfered with the primary objectives of this forum - discussion of Lotus. I do not particularly like the other non-Lotus content though it is hard to keep general automotive and racing threads out of a Lotus or any other marque forum. I have even made a few non Lotus posts because I knew there was a large group of knowledgeable people who would be of assistance.
