Whatever you call these things News posts or whatever there are now 5 of these damned things.

How do you switch it off or mark that yea, I've already seen this crap don't show it to me anymore.

It is getting to be a bother.

Some of this crap is from a long time ago, and I'm tired of clicking the minimize button.

ummm what's with this penzoil banner that keeps getting in the way.

Any way to make it be still like all the other advertisements.

Whatever you do don't drag the cursor over the damned blue words.

When I click the minimise button on the right top of the title banner that's it - they stay minimised

- is this what you are doing? If you clear your browser memory between sessions this feature is obviously nuked.

You can turn off the "blue words" in your user config. I have it off and suggest everyone doing it. Also depending on your browser you have options to spam. Firefox has Adblock Plus and Internet Explorer 8 has InPrivate Filtering. They both work great with the edge going to Firefox but they eliminate all the ads.

I do agree that these "news" posts are ridiculously large and annoying. Why not just put news in a news section?
