Why No Pictures In Our Signatures - LotusTalk

Every other car forum I belong to everyone uses pictures of their car in their signature. How come no one does it on LT? Is it against forum rules or what. I like having a pic of your car in the sig because it lets you show off your best pic. I also think its easier to remember people because you can remember a pic better then some of the names on here(like mine). Of course there is usually a size limit.

They think it is too server intensive and takes too long to load for users. A number of different reasons related to space, download speed, etc.

Yeah i know on some forums they limit the size so it doesnt take to much space. Like i said out of 6 forums i go on this is the only one that people dont use them.

i wonder if it would be possible to make the avatar picture bigger. i dont know if the website setup allows this or if the mods would even go for it

oh god no please!!! thats why i DON'T participate in other forums... all thoose stupid and annoying photos... i am to simple to wade through that garbage - please ... keep it clean and simple and minimal like it is now and go to facebook to paste your personal life everywhere.

I don't like them. It makes the threads harder to read because you have this big picture in between each post. Gets very cluttered.

Doesn't have to be a big picture. It can be whatever size the admins limit it to.

It's no different than scrolling through all the text in people's signatures. If you don't like signatures, each user can disable them. Those who like them can leave them on. Problem solved.
