New Noble M600

Only 200,000bp.

It will come with a switchable traction control system that’s deactivated using the missile launch switch from a Tornado fighter bomber. It has no conventional ESP system, though, and no anti-lock brakes.

I think it's beautiful but it ain't worth no $300,000. Not when you can get a Rossion for 1/3 the price.

With that rear badge everyone is going to think it's a Maserati.

It's too heavy, WTF...

And $300k for a kit car? A Mosler costs that much.

2800 lbs is too heavy for a 650hp car?

Yeah it is too heavy considering the all the previous models were several hundred lbs less. A Spyker C8 spyder weighs less.

What does HP have to do with anything?

Look, it's still lighter than any Porsche, Ferrari or Lambo. Yes, the Noble M400 was 2400 lbs, the Rossion 2500 lbs...but 2800lbs is very light for a supercar. So unless you saying the only car you'll ever own is an Elise/Exige??

Personally, I think it's amazing they can make any car with a decent interior that light. And power to weight ratio means everything.

Power/weight aside, I just don't like they've strayed so far from the lightweight philosophy. Unless I'm mistaken it's still a "kit car", so I expect it would be naturally lighter than any Lambo, Ferrari, or Porsche (being devoid of many requirements of "normal" cars).

The V8 is pretty sweet though I bet the tuning potential will be up there (if anyone actually buys the car).

Where do you get that it is a kit car?

Doesn't say otherwise. If you read my second or third post, I said "unless I'm mistaken..." If it's not, then that's something special.

But then I don't know a car company that states THIS IS NOT A KIT CAR. Normally it would state the other way, car comes in pieces.

But maybe we have different definitions of a kit car? The normal definitions are-
Definitions of Kit car:

* A kit car is an automobile that is available in kit form, which means that the client buys a set of parts and needs to assemble the car themselves ...
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kit_car

* Also referred to as “Replica” cars if they are replicating a vehicle that was or is produced by a car manufacturer. ...
Car Model Terms with Definitions. Part 1 of 10

* This refers to a reproduction of an existing automotive design sold as a kit that the builder assembles themselves.
Classic Cars Online Marketplace - USA, UK, Europe and Worldwide!- Featured Vehicles 1

This is a fully assembled car. You don't do anything to it. It does not come in bits. It is not built on another car's frame. It does not seek to replicate another car.

It is a niche car.

I'm thinking a car where the chassis and powertrain/transaxle/whatever are sold separately. It does this to bypass certain regulations that a normal car would need to meet.

They are not sold separately.

Even the Noble M12/M400 were sold as normal cars in countries other than the USA.

You had to buy them separately in the USA because of DOT rules. As of this point, the M600 is not even being imported into the USA.

Who cares who's "cooler"

The point is that it's not a kit car, just as the Noble/Rossion is not either. They are simply sold in this manner to skim DOT regs in the U.S. The Mossler, like the Saleen S7, are sold under slightly different "loop-hole" ruling (under 25 units per year in the U.S.) to avoid DOT regs as well.

As for the M600, they are going to play it safe since they're practically starting all over again, hence the inside England sales only, for now. Lee Noble started this project, no matter what they say, but definitely did not finish it. I have no doubt it will have some insane performance figures, but the design/styling is just dated and boring. I'm sure there will be lots to be desired in fit and finish as well, but I'll keep these comments to myself till it's been out for a bit. What they've done to their Noble customer following is just damn ugly , said so by every European Noble owner I've come in contact with thus far. The returning of the deposits after such a long and dedicated loyal waiting seems to have been the last draw for many, and I also feel the price is ridiculous ($328K starting).

Funny thing is that part of the deal when 1G Racing bought the rights to Lee's designs for the M12/M400's was that they could not sell their iterations in England... and it seems that the M600 will 'only' be available in England. I'd like to see how Lee's proven design (M400) and the new more advance generation (Rossion Q1) will fare on the track against this newcomer M600?

Like I said.... we'll just have to wait and see....

At first glance i didnt like the m600 styling cues.

But dayum in that video it looks amazing. Will be one of those cars for me that in person is jawdropping beautiful.

As for the weight. Its a big Supercar! 2800lbs for that size car and that kind of power is right where it needs to be.
