Are there any Lotus dealerships in Iowa?

Sorry I had to ask

What do you do?

You do what you do with any unique car; the same thing I had to do when I broke down in the middle of Iowa with my '79 Esprit:

You call AAA have it towed the max amount the plan allows. (This got me to Dekalb, IL where I had a friend who let me store the car in his driveway overnight.) The next morning, you call AAA again and have it towed the rest of the way home. [or repeat step 2]

Once home, you (or your favorite mechanic) fix the car. It still seems easy.

I am bit concerned as well...but I'm getting over it.

With the Duratec powerplant, I'm hoping for core reliability. If work is needed, I think most high-end shops won't have a problem handling it. I was also reading on nobleforums that owners have had success using "Blue Oval" certified ford dealerships for service. Their techs are usually the best trained and have the most time on models like the GT.

The base engine is a Ford Duratec sourced unit with a Roush tuned Ford ECU. There are various proprietary Rossion parts, but they are constantly in stock at the HQ in S FL and can be shipped overnight. There are approved repair & install centers througout the U.S. and more are being added as we speak. I will tell you this, any Lotus mechanic, or even any Ford or exotic car mechanic will find it very easy to work on these cars. A shop and service manual is readily available for both the U.S. Nobles and Rossions. I've owned Loti, and will tell you that repari and maintenance costs for the Noble/Rossion are much less expensive, as it is American powered and owned. Moreover, Rossion truly knows how to support its customers... just ask around, especially the Noble owners. Keep in mind that this is an extremely limited production car, only 48 U.S. models produced per year.

I'd rather have to fix a Ford motor than a Porsche or Ferrari or Lambo or anything else for that matter.

For those that are concerned about Rossion support that has not been a big issue for me having owned a Noble for 4 years.

Parts have been readily available. Many are standard Ford parts. Some are parts you can get from NAPA or Autozone. I just located a good race prep shop that had Porsche and Ferrari experence and they have been able to handle everything. A good race prep shop can repair a 15 year old race car and fix anything with zero support network so a Noble or Rossion is easy. The thing I like about the Noble/Rossion support is that the parts are very reasonably priced. A valve job for my last 911 was $8,000. A replacement ENGINE for the Noble is only $4400. A 15,000 mile service for a Ferrari is that much.
