I've tuned 2zz's to 190whp+ WITHOUT cams, high comp pistons, etc and am suppose to struggle for 200whp? Nah, stop bench racing. Your all going from the hip saying things that have not even been proven, just because you haven't seen it doesn't mean it can't be done...

Attitudes such as this are why aftermarket companies overlook us and we "struggle" with the magic 200whp.....

First properly tuned NA car with P&P head, stg 3 cams, TB and proper header and exhaust hits 200 easy. Throw in high comp postons and race gas and 210/215+, throw in the intake manifold when its done and you're talking high 220s.

NO-ONE has come close to an all out NA build The lotus we are working on is great, but its not even all out. Still no dry sump. Still no electric water pump. It SHOULD be the highest power NA 2ZZ ever built and theres still room for improvement.

Just need the intake manifold; latest estimate is that the manifold will be done before or around July.

Should be able to - I will get the last of the runners and bells today (I had to order and extra set). The custom mandrel bent curves showed up earlier in the week. LR is busy this weekend, but we will probably get the manifolds ready to go to the dyno some time next week.

Dunno - last time I talked to LR about it he was still working on getting the old gas out of the tank. (He doesn't have a way to dispose of it so hes been putting it in his van and lawn mower in small quantities mixed in with good fuel). Once the tank is basically empty he will put race gas in and try to run it.

It turns over OK though - I've witnessed that much.

LR has all the manifold parts - hopefully he is getting them all welded up this week so we can hit the dyno when I get back from vacation.

Sadly, a family illness has stalled the work on the intake until just recently. And, there was a machining issue that was discovered after the motor was assembled and in the car so that I being fixed now.

So, a couple of setbacks... Should have an update in a couple of months...

In the meanwhile, I'm driving the crap out my 2006 Boxster S at the race tracks

A Boxster S that was personally signed by Carroll Shelby and -- unusually for a car from Zuffenhausen -- has a live rear axle!

Sleepless, did you end up supercharging your Boxster S, or any other power mods?

Just some suspension mods for the Boxster: PSS9 coilovers and Tarrett Engineering Camber plates and rear toe arms. It's fast enough as it is. And, as you can see from this crazy thread, I prefer naturally aspirated cars, mostly

No updates and don't expect any for about a month.

I just got back from my third trip down to THill this year; love the new surface.

Me and the Boxster will be at Infineon and Laguna in late November
