I got the 230 hp to the wheels, and it is sweet.

Check out my thread.

It lasts a long time with the 75 shot and two or three gears needed here and there. Fuel Air Mix starts around 15 and drops to the 12's all the way to 8200 rpm's...nice and safe. No lag, no bogg, just instant take-off!

I want sustained 230WHP for track duty.

I did consider doing NOX just for passing people at the track; just use it on the straights

What's the downside to increased displacement?

That is why I went with the stock capactiy; I wanted the car to be on cam for another 1000rpm I think this suits a track car better. The larger displacement motor would be better for a daily driver.

The best part about extending the RPM range by 1000rpm is that you stay in a lower gear longer so you get the torque multiplication of the transmission (assuming trans and final drive are the same between the higher capacity motor and the same capacity but higher RPM motor).

at what rpm there is a peak power?
isnt 2zz peak power around 7600-7800rpm?

It's spring time ...are there updates? And do you really think car can hold up to 9,500 rpm's with just aftermarket valves, springs, and the curquitworx oil pump gear?

I've settled on doing a NA build too, and then maybe tackle supercharging later...

everything is fine - the Flowbench took WAY longer to complete than anticipated so the head porting is behind schedule by a considerable amount.

The good news is the flowbench is pretty flose to done - all thats left is a little plumbing work with the pipes, pitots and a few valves. The motor box and test bench are done and functional and the computer is set up and running.

The car is already wired up and running on the Power FC. I'm not sure what the status is on the engine internals - you would have to ask Littlerocket for that.

How about some pictures of the work in progress? I know that Pete is craving visual information (and so are we)

Here is a picture of Dave's flowbench in progress. This is the main thing that has held up the project. Apparently it took a LOT longer to build than Dave and David expected.

PS - We're now shooting for end of April for my motor to be completed
