sounds good. i called the one shop today, unfortunately he has done plenty of them in the past and was recently robbed including his papers and computers and doesnt have the numbers anymore, he went on to tell me if he had them he wouldnt want me to just use those numbers alone since everyone flows differently and everyone likes to change their numbers etc so using something else like making a venturi to get a base that you can compare with would be the better route than using any numbers he might have or numbers from anyone else...he wasnt trying to just not give numbers, he rattled off the toyota motors he had new numbers on but not the 2zz. i'll try and get some from the place i use either today or tomorrow if i can.

The flowbench is no longer a project! It is a functional tool. We flowed a head tonight. What a relief. I have underestimated timelines on projects before but wow does this one take the cake!

Nope - exhaust has smaller ports and valves - its supposed to flow less at the same pressure - when the exhaust valves open the cylinder pressures are WAAAAAY higher than atmospheric pressure which is why those valves don't need to be as big as intakes.
As for the numbers after P&P - it depends. I have to run the math on CFM versus displacement and RPM. If it doesn't need much more CFM we will concentrate on cleanup and velocity. |

Cool stuff! Now if you were to have a timetable, when would everything be put together and ready for the dyno? haha

When he recieves the most powerful NA 2zz in the world...I bet he'll be happy with all the time and money invested :chuckles: . Unless somebody does an all out NA drag 2zz vehicle, this will go down in the record books for the most work done on the 2zz.

I didn't know you have a 993. You have good taste in cars.
We'll take a video of the flowbench at some point so you all can hear what it sounds like. If you ever wind up in Houston I'll be happy to show you how it works. |

![]() If we hit our 250HP target with this project then the Elise will have almost the same power to weight ratio of around 7.5lbs per HP The Turbo is 7.3lbs per HP. If you guys can get over 260HP, then the Elise will match or beat it ![]() So, get working ![]()

Exhaust airflow passed 200 cfm without sacrificing air speed today. More exhaust side work tomorrow.
This flowbench is a pretty incredible tool.

Port your head.
Have several valve seats cut and flow test them then have your head cut to the best seat. Have the top end coated. Port the intake manifold. Fit the throttle body Assembly, install, break in and dyno tune. Reassemble the rest of the car. I don't rember if I told you but the lsd is installed already too.
