I've been trying to reach you privately for weeks. Please respond to my PMs/emails so I don't need to post in your threads!

HIJACK:
In my book, once the $ exchanges hands its up to the recipient to deliver the goods asap! I understand that you said the parts were ready to be sent immediately upon receiving payment, the payment has already been sent by L8Apex01, and now he's been awaiting for some sort of response or action from you. Please at LEAST let the customer know when the goods are coming.
I know L8Apex01 and he's been straight up with you, so what gives?!?!?!!
He has tried to contact you thru PMs at spyderchat and emails but with no response. His project is now being held up due to this delay and this makes me concerned. I'm a future potential customer of yours, but I'd like to see how you treat your current customers before I hand over my $. You have a good reputation so I hope this continues.

/HIJACK

damn 250 HP sounds more than reasonable in this car. these motors cant be that expensive( i dont know much about dohc) in a pushrod engine, HP is limitless. id just drop the 2jz supra motor in it

Engine is too long, big and heavy to be mounted transversely. It also wouldn't bolt up to a transmission that can be used in a midship.

I'm getting impatient and I don't even own the car. Sleepless - you are one very patient person.

we're still working on it. The head is done except for CCing the head and the coatings.

The intake manifold is progressing nicely but is still a couple weeks out.

Pulleys are done
Bottom end is done except for coatings

I would guess we still have at least another 3 or 4 weeks to go before its ready to ship back.

For those of us anxiously watching this project, it would be great to know what you think the turn around time and cost will be once you are done with Sleepless.

Since you had to take time to create the flow bench, and figure stuff out along the way, I assume the second time around will be loads shorter and hopefully somewhat less costly.

If you indeed reach your goals, I suspect those of us who want to stay NA will come knockin'

Once we have everything we are developing in stock as production peices we should be able to turn a car around in a couple of weeks. The time consuming thing will just be downtime for machining, porting and coating work.

UPDATE: I asked Littlerocket to assume race fuel so we're upping the pistons from 12:1 to 15:1 He was about to assemble the motor next week, but with the new pistons, it will be another 6 weeks. We're hoping for 250HP at the wheels now, instead of at the crank

I prefer to call them "elves"; the term "Gremlin" is not something I like to associate with cars

I don't have the exact list, only LittleRocket has it right now. But, most of the engine-related things on that list are going to be included.

You have to be a gremlin if you want to get 250 whp from our engine. I even caught them in action on another one:

BTW why didn't you opt for the stroker? Did you not like the RPM limit? I know the best NA K20 builds were frankensteined and stroked 2.6 Liter beasts.

No... I'd love to have a Supra motor - can you get me one of the JGTC Supra's 3S-GTE powerplants?

Now, back to your regularly scheduled thread...

Where did you get that info, it's completely wrong and backwards.

The 2.0 (F20C) is a bit weaker than the 2.2 (F22C) in factory form. The 2.2 cars generally dyno 5-15 more peak whp and a lot more midrange torque. They both respond ok to mods but the 06+ version of the 2.2L engine REALLY does well with boltons and the Hondata ECU reflash.

The 2.2L cars generally dyno around 215 whp which equates to 247 crank hp (with standard 15% driveline loss). With a few boltons you could easily shoot for 270-280 crank hp. Honestly the K20 is the way to go for the Elise though, people are making 230-250 whp all day long with boltons in that car.
