The strocker can't spin as high RPMs so can't stay in lower gears as long.

I tried to get info on it a while a go and didn't get far. Eventually I got a price which just seemed silly (I've forgotten the quote).

I think for a street car I would have gone for the stroker. For a 100% track car, I like it to be a screamer

The 6 week process began on 8/22. I don't think it's done yet.

Thats typical. I waited 3 months for a set of custom Arias pistons once, then they came in the wrong compression ratio. Go figure.

I'm in houston and would love to have one of your worked heads on my lotus when it gets here. No major internal mods on my car though. I may toss on some boost though. What is the approximate cost to have the head work done?

LOL!
I once had Aries do the same thing with an order of 50 custom pistons.

Basic Porting with before during and after Flowbench testing is $1000. That does not include removing or installing the head. If you want the full race treatment with ceramic coating on the head and valves, polishing combustion chamber, polishing exhaust is $1500. I can also port match intake and exhaust manifolds and blend and polish the intake manifold runners (they have some nastiness going on up in there in stock trim.)

I would reccomend installation of the MWR valves and springs at that time as we have seen them to increase flow as well.

If you want the head / engine removed and installed for you thats an extra $50 / hour

Ouch! How bad did they screw you on the compression?

I ordered 8.8:1 compression dished pistons and got a set of 12.0:1 domed pistons!

The 15:1 pistons have finally arrived! A little machining (if necessary) and off to the coaters...

Hopefully the gremlins will begin assembly shortly afterwards

I bet a Snow Performance NA methonal injection kit could allow him to get away with 93 octane and a conservative tune.

http://www.snowperformance.net/product.php?pk=7

Some Celica/Corolla XRS owners down in Puerto Rico claim to have put in the TRD 13:1 compression pistons and had no problem tuning it on 93 octane pump gas.
