His pistons had some problems, so time had to be spent to fix them, so they're going to be 14:1 now.

Hopefully, littlerocket will post an update. Last I heard is that the fixed pistons were to have some finish machining done and set off to the coaters.

The worst part about the wait, is that I blew the f'ing motor in my "backup" track toy Now I'm waiting for that engine to be rebuilt... Good thing it's winter and not track days on the horizon...

Maybe not the best solution but here's one anyway.
An alternative to buying an engine from Toyota or Lotus.

What blew?

My backup track toy while the Elise is getting its new motor is a 1997 Porsche Turbo; I missed a shift ---> "money shift" as they say ...

Update from this weekend's reassembly from Littlerocket:

"The crank needs to be touched up on the polish. The coaters scratched the rear main seal surface area. No biggie. I will drop it off tomorrow. The block is cleaned and studded (head, lower half, and oil pan). The custom windage tray is completed. I have the main bearing sized. I should wrap up the shortblock this week."

It'll have to be at a racetrack since it's basically a dedicated track car now. Wouldn't want to use 100 octane gas cruising on the streets
