Endless patience... yes. Endless budget... no.

Just waiting for that final intake runner length and tuning. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel

I have been following this thread since I found it a few months ago. Not to badger but I am as anxious as everyone else. Are you any closer to the finish line? Hope to see the dyno soon.

LittleRocket and Boosted2.0 have been busy getting their initial run of the 2ZZ intakes done and out the door.

Their test motor for the race version of the intake, which I need, had issues so now LittleRocket is waiting for some parts for my motor (due to a redesign) so they can use it for the testing.

I can't believe you guys are still falling for this. Sleepless is actually in prison for killing these guys years ago. Someone has hacked his account and is playing the most elaborate april fool's in LT history.

My understanding is that Boosted will likely test them on your engine.

In just a few days the magic THREE YEAR milestone will be reached. One can only hope the world doesn't run out of oil before this build is complete. I take my hat of to you Sleepless. You have remained steadfast all these years where many would have fallen by the wayside. The gentle ribbing of fellow Lotus owners has not swayed you from the righteous road you have chosen to follow. Rain may have poured down upon you during the long winters of the North West. The sun may have baked you during the three days you call summer, but through it all you have remained resolute to your cause. Satan's spawn aka Ronin has tempted you with the twin evils of super and turbo charging but you have seen through his pathetic attempts to recruit you to the dark side. Many have fallen, tempted by Beelzebub's scheming ways, but you have remained, driven not by talk of psi and inter-coolers but by the purity of high rpm and exhaust note. While you may dance with the beast from time to time you have seen through the dark angel that is Porsche with its foul forced induction, and seek instead the purity of natural aspiration. I salute you Sleepless, bringer of light and redemption.

Now hurry up and finish the bloody thing, preferably before I end up in a zimmer frame taking my sustenance by straw!

amazing to me why it would take 3 years to construct a motor...alls I know is, no way in hell would I wait 3 years. Maybe 6 months and that's pushing it.

either way, I hope the wait will be worth it for you.

iwilson - Beautifully written And so perceptive too!

Honda engine, eh? 3 years ago people were telling me to just stuff a Honda engine in the Elise... I see that "kit" is in about the same sad state as it was 3 years ago...

Why 3 years? The folks that are doing the work are hobbyists, don't forget that. I knew it from the beginning. I have a 911 engine being built by a professional and it has been 1 1/2 years since that one started and it still isn't finished. I'd say the hobbyists are still holding their own. NOTE: both have custom bits and that is what always takes so loooong...

Anyway, I have a loaner engine in the Turbo and once again enjoying it on the track I also hear that LR has my engine block back, now the question is if he and Boosted will have time to finish the racing intake for Kortik and myself (Boosted just had a new arrival in the family and LR a new job; these are the things that greatly affect projects for hobbyists... and clearly more important than their hobbies and my engine )

Pete, you're awesome. Such a patient understanding man that I admire. I do wish that you do get your toys back quickly though. If you ever want to drive the s240 at the track down here, let me know.
