Hee hee, that would be nice, it costs a small fortune to ship a car from Seattle to Texas

Really? what carrier are you using? I've shipped with DAS a bunch and they are pretty affordable IMO.

How much will this cost if you dont mind me asking?
Sorry, missed your post... the budget is $15K. The car is stored at www.cantrellmotorsport.com when I'm not driving it at the track. Here is a little movie from Thunderhill about a month ago, and a gratuitous pic of the car from the same event:

No shippy from Seattle to Texas I shopped around. DAS has gotten a bad rep on this board so didn't even call them. Reliable was cheaper but for some reason i didn't get a good feeling from them so went with Passport; they have a long history like IntercityLines. Passport uses over the tire tie downs which I couldn't get the others to tell me they used. So went with Passport since that is the only way I will tiedown my Elise.

They all ranged in the $1800+ for a one way ride; Passport is $2000.

$2000 isn't that bad, and over the tire ties rock - good call!

Yeah, I know. It's the total of $4000 spent to get it there and back makes me think of the goodies I could put on the car for that much money!

But, I'm really looking forward to what LittleRocket will do for the car

The block is on the cnc this week. The sleeves are on order.

The crank is getting massaged first of next month.

The lsd has arrived.

Pfc is here.

Driving it home sounds like it would be a fun trip.

With that much money, have you thought about trailering the car down yourself? Buy a round-trip plane ticket, so you can use the 2nd half to drive the car back. Then again, if you don't have the time...

I was being sarcastic I'm not interested in driving 2300 miles in my Elise... It will be hauled both ways.

Give Jay some traveling expenses and a one way ticket home. He has driven my car. Have little rocket set the rev limiter a little lower for break in and it will be ready for an oil change and 9000rpm when you get it.
