It is the same dyno that Jay uses. I have hit it with a few 2zz with stock ecus. 165 whp is about stock level.
This is his car during his pulley tests. http://www.elisetalk.com/forums/atta...1&d=1167889646

The powerfc should be able to tune for f/i as many celica/mr2 owners have.. |

Yes I can tune for FI - I have tuned quite a few turbo Celicas with Power FC. Above a certain power level you will need to go to a 3" charge pipe or the MAF maxes though, and above that you will need an STI MAF |

Have you guys thought of buying connectors for each row of pins and putting them together? The spacing between pins would be all you'd really have to worry about.

Yeah, I know where it is. I was under the impression that you couldn't buy those connectors. I was thinking that the pin pattern could be gotten around by 3 separate single row connectors. You could have the outside part of the connector made by one of those prototyping places and insert the three single row rectangular pieces in it. It could be done in such a way that it would be secure and not exposed to the elements. But if you have a source for them, the point is moot.

I could use a little help from anyone, on how to attach pic's of my dyno in the $15K power challenge.
I like what I've done, and my friends Toyota, with the same 2ZZ, has the same ZEX for almost a year, now, with no-problems at all. The computer seems to do what it needs to do, to keep it safe and smooth running.

It lasts a long time with the 75 shot and two or three gears needed here and there. Fuel Air Mix starts around 15 and drops to the 12's all the way to 8200 rpm's...nice and safe. No lag, no bogg, just instant take-off! |

I did the dirty deed and added the Zex nitro kit. It is awsome. My friend has had the same kit in his Toyota with the same 2ZZ engine, for almost one year, with no problems and smooth running. He runs 100 shot, but wee really don't need that, as we now blow him away too. I will run Moroso for real numbers in the quarter, later in the next few weeks. The car sticks like glue, even when you blast it on, in a turn. No need for any fancy stuff either. It just runs straight out and smooth, without bleeding out the lines, which are 15' long. It just goes !!! The kit cost $500 and a tank guage was $45, plus a blow down tube to make it track legal, $33. We don't need the blanket either, after a twenty minute ride, as the trunk heats up just fine. I ran my dyno cold, without any warm up in the trunk. It might be a little higher in hp.

Nitrous is great and yes the Zex wet kits have been used with great success on the celica as well.
That being said, nitrous is not a good sustainable power adder for someone that road races like the thread originator. |

Details are buried somewhere in this thread but the summary goes something like this:
- Built NA motor; rev limit raised 1000RPm, higher compression ratio, pistsons, cams, etc. - Lots porting and coatings and other fine tweaks - custom exhaust - Custom tuned PFC - LSD Target wheel HP is 230+ ![]()
