take heart. it's the way swaps go.
i did a diesel engine into a bmw bike.
it looked great til i was finishing up the clutch details and then had to add an inch to the bell housing.
engine mounts and all had to be moved, fork had to be redone...

you're doing a great job and it takes time and, usually, more effort than originally expected.
you have a lot of us rooting for you.

The dry sump pan

I have exhausted myself with finding an easy solution to my dry sump pump
mounting location and am in the process of a total redesign of the pan and
pump configuration. It has halted my swap progress but in the end will be a
cleaner less cluttered configuration. ADR engineering has offered to build it
if I do the design layout.
I am hoping to finish the intake manifold in the next week with the throttle
body and supercharger inlet to follow shortly after.

Did I miss a post somewhere? What's the problem with the original mounting location?

You did, see post #118. The oil pump is mounted where the half-shaft carrier
bearing mounts to the block. Evidently the setup I bought was designed to work
with a non-transverse engine application. The oil pump could be moved but would require
the A.C. compressor be removed.

In Japan automobile owners are taxed heavily based on the age of their vehicle, this promotes their economy buy forcing people to buy new cars often.

Nothing wrong with your english.
I was under the impression it was done for the sake of their economy as exigeme said. But we're all on the same page.

Exigeme, so I'm guessing you're unwilling to give up your AC?

Amarao, I do not want to give up my AC for several reasons, non comfort related. Living here in the Seattle area we get lots of wet days that fog up the small passenger compartment of the Lotus easily and secondly removing the AC changes the whole belt routing which limits the belt contact patch on
the supercharger pulley.

Not much to report as far as pictures go but I have been working behind the scenes on a new oil pan design. I am just starting on the engineering work
but plan to incorporate a electronic pre-oiler into my dry sump design with a externally mounted direct drive pump and be able to retain all ancillaries.

On a second note, I have been looking into an engine management system that will offer excellent engine control as well as traction control with a digital dash. I have narrowed down my choice to the Pectel SQ6.

I had shoulder surgery in the end of May and spent the summer doing very little because of physical limitations and am now back to my usual traveling for work so things have slowed down some as far as progress on the car goes.

I did consider Motec but Pectel offers more program flexibility, channel options and price per option cost breaks. Check out their site http://www.pectel.co.uk

The price depends on how it is configured but prices start around $4500.00
for the SQ6.
