ACT clutch pressure plates - Extreme vs Heavy Duty
Does anyone know what the differences between these pressure plates are?
All I see is that Extreme is more expensive - but they don't have numbers (that I've found) that differentiate the two. Thoughts, opinions, links? One more thing, ForceFed says they have these for an Elise and ACT Advanced Clutch Technology® 15th Anniversary (1994-2009) says "We currently don't have products available for this specific vehicle." Do the ForceFed really have them? |

If you have anything up to about 270hp, the HD is great. Above that I recommend going to the 6 puck sprung hub center disc with the HD if you are running on the street. IF you are running track only the non-sprung hub is lighter and isn't too grabby. I believe the 6 puck + HD is good for well over 250lb-ft.

I got the XT, it has been fine with the VF2 power. The pedal pressure is somewhat stiffer than stock, but not unbearable. I got used to it after a few drives.
