Thats because they give the spec at the roller which is silly but easier to measure.

question
i came across a thread with pics and info of a bad camshaft
can someone point me to it in order to self inspect my cams???????

Just out of curiosity, to OP mentioned 05-06 Elises were having this problem. I was wondering if this issue was "corrected" in 07+ Elises. Or should I be keeping an eye on mine as well.

I don't know of any 07s off the top of my head; but most of the 05-06s didn't manifest for a couple of years. So you've got time?

camshaft problem confirmed in mine on number 3 cylinder 7000 miles.05 elise vin sccpc111x5hl31338
i did the water jet test and found no misalignments except on cylinder1-so this isnt the problem
