C-ONE gearset installed, shift light issues

Dear all,

Just had my C-one gear set installed on my exige... WOW has the acceleration improved... The car is like a monster now... By far the best bang for the buck mod....

But there is an issue with the shift light now.... Before, the shift like comes on at around 8000rpm... But now, once I finish 2nd gear and shift to third, the shift light almost comes on right away.... Is the shift light activated base on speed or the RPM???

The gears are A LOT shorter now... At rev cut:
1st goes to around 75km
2nd goes to around 100km
3rd goes to around 130km
4th goes to around 160km
5th goes to around 190km
6th goes to around 240km

It should be rpm. Sounds ecu controlled to me... charliex would have better insight. His editor could probably take care of this???

This isn't an answer to your question, but ignore the oem light and get an aftermarket one with or without digital tach. You sound serious enough to spend the money. BTW, I've heard the oem light has a mind of it's own.

Beat,

Sorry. Can't answer your question.

I'd like to know how your car has benefitted on the track from this mod. Does it stay on cammore easily? Are the ratios closer together? Sounds like something I'd be interested in since the stock ratios are too far apart and I often find myself pushing farther into the red to avoid dropping off the cam on an upshift.

Do you have a before and after dyno?

Do you have a link to the C-one gear set so I can get more info on it?

What are your RPMs at now when you're on the highway (~75-80mph)? That's the speed limit here in FL

Not really sure about mph. But at 100km (around 60mph) it was at 3000 and now just under 3500
