DC Header and ACT HD clutch installation

We just finished up with the installation of the MWR/DC header and ACT HD-SS clutch. The clutch is very tight and positive, just how I like it, with no shudder....a vast improvement over stock IMO. Installation time was approx 10 hours. Picked it up from Brett at Ragnorak.

Header installation was about 3 hours. We elected to do it from the bottom concurrent with the clutch. (stock clutch is for sale BTW in the parts forum) A performance increase? Maybe, but the sound enhancement, in conjunction with the Quicksilver, is very sweet. I scaled the DC header at 7 lbs, and the stock header/heat shield at 14 for a 7 lb savings. The heat shield is eliminated as the DC header is ceramic coated. The only mod we performed was adding a hangar where the header couples with the cat pipe, similar to the stock arrangement.

The header comes with the 4 plugs. The instructions for tapping the exhaust port holes are included with the header. You can p/u the tap at any local hardware store.

I think MonkeyWrench has some good performance parts, but I don't think their focus is on the elise crowd... they're doing this more for their higher volume celica guys.
