Just put some joint compound in there and you won't feel it anymore (or see it, unless you're really looking).

The recall hasn't officially started yet - it's just Lotus notifying the government that they are inviting one. They will be sending out recall notices...

If your car is going into the dealership, it seems that they are doing the replacement now. Mine was just done, when my car was in for an oil change.

Not quite yet. I've spoken to my service manager about this twice already. I have a bit of work to be done and I'm delaying it until the recall starts so I don't have to go back twice.

Old shifter = new paperweight

Well, I for one will be asking for that old shifter as a souvenir - might make a nice paperweight/conversation piece.....

I can speak for our Lotus Department only, all warranty parts are held for 90 days and many are returned to L.C.U.S.A. for inspection the same day.
I would think one of the clutch or brake pedals would make for a better looking
paper weight.
All the best, Don

I'm hearing three weeks from my dealer before they get the replacement parts.
He said approx 1700 cars affected.

I would think one of the clutch or brake petals would make for a better looking
paper weight.
All the best, Don
Since I already replaced my shifter with the B&M, can I just hand in the old one for the new shifter in case I ever want to go back to stock?
