Forcedfed Dyno Plot

Hello Guys,
Here is the stock car versus our turbo kitted car! This is a conservative 91 octane map and we made an additional 10 whp and 15 pound feet of torque running our 93 octane map. We still have some fine tuning to do, but this gives you guys a good indication of the power the car is now making. Thanks guys.

Boo-YAH, now that's what I'm talking about, 241hp AND a dyno! Now I'm really interested. Congratulations on getting the kit up and running. Now, if we add reliability and a reasonable price (both of which, I know you are working on) and you will have a lot of people really interested. Good luck with the magazine photoshoot and keep us updated.

QUITE impressive. Congratulations!

Any initial impressions?

I don't suppose you have a video of the dyno run, do you?

Really great. Now if it is realiable then you may have a real winner there.

So Brett, when can you give me a test ride?

Nice job forcedfed.

I appreciate you keeping the information flowing our way. Judging from the popularity of your previous thread I'd say you have more than a few prospects on this board.

Anxiously awaiting more information.

Brett- Have you had a chance to drive it much. How is the power delivery, as the boost kicks in?

If I am reading the plot correctly, the unmodified engine has more torque and power below 5200 RPM than the boosted one. Is this normal? Some folks were hoping for more, not less, torque at the low end.

Chris- at first glance read it the same way. The two blue are the turbo version.

Yep, it's misleading at first. The Dark Blue is HP and the light blue is TRQ.

Is the A/F Ratio leaning out too much for too long? Did you get EGT temp during the run?

Cartest2000 results...

OK, entering extrapolated data from the dyno graph into Cartest2000 I've come up with the following... (including stock dynoed car - for baseline):

Parameter: Stock -> Turbo
0-30mph: 1.49 -> 1.19 seconds
0-60mph: 4.46 -> 3.43 seconds
0-80mph: 7.67 -> 5.75 seconds
0-100mph: 12.07 -> 8.75 seconds
0-150mph: 72.09 -> 22.97 seconds

60-80mph in 3rd gear: 3.34 -> 2.28 seconds
80-100mph in 4th gear: 5.04 -> 3.21 seconds

60': 1.92 -> 1.73 seconds
330': 5.40 -> 4.91 seconds
660': 8.38 @ 84.49mph -> 7.58 @ 95.38mph
1000': 10.92 -> 9.89 seconds
1320': 13.21 @ 103.51mph -> 11.83 @ 117.06mph
Top Speed: 150mph -> 169mph

Absolutely amazing... well done!

Thanks for the kind words everyone. We are still fine tuning the car and are very pleased with the initial results. As for test drives, that can be arranged by simply dropping off your Elise with us for 1 week. When you pick it up you will have a great test drive!

That is correct. The car makes more torque everywhere and horsepower. This is a low run as the car made 251 horsepower and 182 pound feet on the 93 octane map.

What ECU or fuel managment computer did you use for this dyno run?

The dyno actually reads about .75 of a point higher than the actual ratio the car is seeing. So we are running approx 11.1 A/F which is perfect for a pump gas car with 7 psi running through it. The egt's were in the 1350-1450 range, the intercooler temp never rose above 65 F today with minimal air getting through the vent and no fan and the water temp was a steady 188-190.

Forcedfed,

I can only imagine how much this will transform and improve the car. If it proves reliable in the next several months, I'm buying.

Thanks for the car test computations. We will see real world results on Wednesday at the track and we hope to get close to the "computer" tests numbers. Traction may be an issue!
