Forcedfed Stage 1Turbo Kit Pricing

This sounds real nice...what do we do if we're from the east coast?
Also, this does not use the stock exhaust? How does it sound?
Does it void the factory warranty?

Thanks,
Bruce

Looks good, does the setup require any tuning after install?
Is the puller fan to run air through the intercooler? If so, does it run all the time or only when there is hot air coming out of the intercooler maybe?
I think you need to get with Lotus and help them offer a turbo version of the car for the US
Although EPA testing maybe be a large hurdle.

Will you be pursuing CARB approval for this kit?

We have already contacted Lotus regarding our Turbo kit. The puller fan is thermostat driven and switches on when it reaches a prescribed temp.

If CARB approved, I will purchase the kit after breakin. If not, well, we'll see.... I like what he has done and the price is reasonable, imo, CARB or no CARB.

I wonder if Stage 2 needs a core swap. I'd definitiely get big brakes if upping to 400 hp. 400HP in the Elise, I can hardly imagine. I think anyone serious enough to run 400 HP should do the wide body to be able to get more rubber on the track for adequate braking at much higher than stock speeds prior to any given track turn, with larger diameter discs under larger diameter wheels, etc. It's another animal altogether, imo!

That puller fan on thermostat control sounds like a great idea. If you could come up with something like that for the WRX and STI intercoolers I bet you would sell a lot of them.

Why would you need better brakes? Unless your worried about slowing down from 200mph, I wouldn't worry about it. Regardless of whether you have 600hp or 10hp, once you hit the brakes, the hp you have is irrelavant.

Where are your locations for installation?

I'm wondering how we will get 400HP to the ground with those little tires of ours. I had a hard enougth time putting all that power to the ground in my old Eclipse GSX AWD and not have it puff up into smoke on slicks.

Um....many of us *will* be slowing down from 160 mph (max the gearbox can do) - at the track. More power should be balanced by better brakes for that (and in some circles, brakes should be upgraded first).

With our kit you will be seeing 160mph very often! That's why for the Car and Driver Super Tuner shootout in June we are developing an Alcon brake kit for the dreaded 150mph-0 stop that is part of their test.

So far so good with 230-250whp. We will have a Quaife LSD and bigger rear tires for the 400 horsepower kit as options.

Not with the base kit. However for the 400 horsepower version we will be overhauling the entire fueling system.

We are setting up a dealer in Houston and Tampa hopefully as early as the end of this month. Otherwise you can ship me the car in California or send it to Franz at KTR Performance.

What sort of lag is there on the 400bhp engine - especially, is it relatively usable at city-center driving speeds?

Also, how "stable" is the engine? (400bhp from four cylinders sees a lot to ask of an engine)

hmm...so it wouldnt make a difference on the track straightaways mashing on the brakes repeatedly from 150mph rather than 120mph???...more power leads to more speed on the straights and more aggressive braking and more brake fade no???

How much for just the badging?....Just kidding.

Sounds great, I may be a player after several installs.

Who is your dealer going to be in houston??

Also, can you post some real world video of the car in action. I would like some idea of performance of the kit. Thanks, Adam .....
