Hard to tell for sure, but that looks like a 0-60 run in just under 4 seconds with a launch at 4200 RPM. Cool! Watch out Vipers, Ferraris, Porches, Lambos, and Vettes!

0-100 mph with a moderate launch.......priceless!

Speaking as a recent convert to Apple, I urge you to abandon the Evil Microsoft. You can download a free copy of Quicktime onto your PC from Apple's website in order to play these files. Who knows, you might also jump ship to Apple.

That Forcefed turbo looks like a real rocket...

loading quicktime in the past has generally done things upon install i won't suffer again willingly. expunging the apple-induced bull****e was a job. as for jumping ship- ain't my boat to row.

with using a stopwatch and starting that at the same moment i began the video i got 4.31 seconds though it was very difficult to see the 60 mark, can you take another video where the panel is clearly shown or have a better timing set up for us?

paying 8k for .3 seconds over stock doesnt seem like such a great deal , i am interested in doing a turbo kit if it gets the car in the low 3's but not in the low 4's, personally i dont see a almost impossible perception of speed difference at a approx .3- .4 second or so saving over stock, am i missing something here or is our stock car not 4.6 as all the magazine write ups claim it is? or is that with a 7k launch or something? to even get to 4.6 seconds?

I am not a drag racer so not sure what if any of this small increase will do for me on autocross or track , i am probably not going to race the car, just do open track days, autocross and solo stuff anyways, i am though interested in doing a suspension set up at some point and that is why i didnt order the set up by Lotus as i feel there is something better out there for the same or less money or even slightly more is fine too over what they offered, where i can switch track wheels/tires out on such days and keep my daily wheels/tires for street driving where tire wear is more important to me.

what is suggestions for a suspension set up for wheels, tires, shocks etc from the aftermarket groups putting together specialized items for our cars.

how about superchargers is that a possible way to go? what about the exige motor they are using for the 240R that is coming out, will that fit and be not much more then a turbo kit and be more durable ?

just trying to get a idea of what can be done and overall cost/benifit of choices.

Actually to get to 60mph in 4.3 seconds with a 4200rpm launch and 2 guys in the car(total weight 330 pounds) is amazing. Try it in your stock car and you will not get to 60mph in under 6 seconds with a 4200rpm launch and 330 pounds of weight in the Elise. Our car is over 4 seconds quicker to 100 mph and between 9-12mph faster through the lights at the quarter mile distance. Not noticeable over stock??

Some people just don't realize how much more power is needed to go marginally faster. It increases expotentially as you go faster and faster. Going from a 7 second car to a 5 second car is nothing at all like going from 6 second car to a 4 second car. Things get really insane the faster the car is and mere 10ths of a second are difficult... That Turbo Elise is WAY quicker then the stock form. I would love to see the two cars run side by side. That would show you how much these numbers really mean in real life. Nice Job!

I gotta go with Forcedfed on this one. Sure, the magazine times weren't that much off the time in the video, but consider that the magazine time was achieved with a launch that borders on abusive. That the Forcedfed guys dropped almost half a second to 60 with a relatively gentle launch and with passengers is pretty damn good in my book. Also figure that once you start off in the range of times that the stock Elise can achieve, the 'bites' you can take per dollar spent get smaller and smaller. To get down to the low-3 second range would really be something. The Enzo and the McLaren F1 just barely get there each with an enormous hp, power to weight, and traction advantage over our cars.
