I think the confusion about your launch speed is due to an post you made earlier in this thread stating that you were launching at 4200 RPMs.

getting accurate numbers, thanks QuickTime

ATYCLB has it right, what are the real times and speeds...and QuickTime, while not part of the Dark Side (Microsoft), does have some good tools...

Assumptions: The ForcedFed car is equiped with LSS rims and tires that are the size of A048s. Yes, I believe they have different tires on the car now. I assume no speedometer correction has been applied since I have asked my service department to fix the excessive error in the speedometer and they are unable to do so.

My speedometer error shows 9% faster than I am actually going. For example an indicated 65mph is actually 60 and an indicated 100 mph is actually 90.

So, using the QuickTime tools, I get the following:

0-60 4.3 seconds (indicated speedometer 65mph and the wheel is in the way, so some estimation was required.)
0-90 10.0 seconds (actual speed appears to be slightly less than 100mph but it is difficult to estimate the parallax.

All this does is show that ForcedFed needs to get some independent testing done...

Michael

Michael, I have the same issue with my speedometer (as do so many others), but at least some people have reported more accurate speedometers. I'd assume that the magazines have gone to at least some length to ensure that they're reporting accurate numbers.

We have already had 2 magazines test the car. Both got similar results with Sport Compact Car a little faster due to a 93 octane map and Motor Trend running our 91 octane tune. 0-100mph time was 4 seconds quicker than stock.......

The video ending in 312 shows Motor Trend running the car and launching at 7400 rpms. No wheelspin.

ok guys from what im seeing from the vid. The gearing seems weird. it looks like 2nd gear goes to 70mph. and 3rd gear goes almost to a 100mph.

For a 6 speed that seems geared VERY high. **** my lexus IS300 5spd tops 2nd gear at 60mph.

can anybody explain or am i missing gear?

2nd gear takes you up to a true 66-67 mph using the 7.7 mph/1000rs noted in the manual. 3rd takes you up to the low 90s mph, 10.7 factor. 1st: 43-44 mph.
