Fine I'll restart it in an informational non- emotional manner with nothing but statements that have been backed up by other members or statements posted in previous threads

Hey Maz,
I must disagree that the thread did not contribute to the Lotus Community (those who are seeking FI upgrades). I believe the thread provided good source of information for "who not to use and why".
I understand your perspective of "not screwing around with stock sports cars" and I am happy to say that mine did not get "blown by Hass"

However, there are many legitimate complaints about the reliability of his "Kit" and several complaints regarding the carelessness and negligent work that was performed at his shop (ie, brakes not bolted on, heat shields not replaced, etc.)

I believe that people had a right to that information (for their own safety)

Just my humble opinion.

I recommend discussing this with Randy to better learn where that fine line is, before you spend too much time composing this.

I haven't seen everyone this mad since the hurricane blocked the first shipments of Elises into the east coast port.

The ones complaining about censorship should log off and write a book if they really need to vent somewhere.

Guys, stop it. There is no check from Lotus or anyone else.

The plain and simple fact of the matter is that the thread got out of hand including personal attacks. The moderators had a large discussion as to what would be the best course of action, with a big downside of any option being these accusations of "censorship". Believe me (whether you want to or not), censorship had nothing to do with closing the thread and removing some of the posts from public view (they are all still on the server - not deleted).

The bottom line is that when Randy can be personally held liable by one of more of the parties involved, then it's in his best interest (as well as the best interest of all the users of EliseTalk) to shut down the thread. Period. We don't pay Randy enough (as in absolutely zero) to expose himself to any liability at all.

So, to the people that are crying "censorship" or complaining that the thread is closed (or even joking about it - it's not always apparent), back off. At least unless you are personally willing to front the money that it could cost Randy.............. Yea, I didn't think so...

Come on!

Well it IS removed from public view and only visible to a tiny group controlled by Randy. That IS removed or deleted from this forum in effect. To claim otherwise is pathetic and weak.
Stan what exactly is your problem? I think everyone on elisetalk that's been a registered member for more than a month knows your crusade against censorship. You bring it up in virtually every other post. In addition to frequent statements about a secret cabal behind the scenes pulling all the strings here. At this point it's just continuing to beat a dead horse. This is Randy's forum and I'll back him up in what's necessary to keep this forum moving in a positive direction.

IF you or anyone else don't like the way things are run, it's your option not to revisit this forum.

You have my phone number and can feel free to contact me if you want to talk person to person but at these stage not positive of the outcome as we're polls apart and neither will change the other's mind.

STAN - this is a car forum for ENTERTAINMENT purposes, we're not dealing with the cure for cancer, bin laden's whereabouts, or the winning lottery ticket number.

Once again, please give it a rest!

Chris

Lets be fair

I think that if a thread about how bad a Hass turbo was is no longer available to be read, then all threads about Hass Turbo should be no longer available.

If you can't tell the end of the story, then no story should be told period. If we are going to censor, then wipe out all threads and post that mention Mr. Hass and his kit. Otherwise it could be viewed that the owner of this board is in collusion with Mr. Hass and is suppressing any and all information that shows Mr. Hass in a negative way.

Then doesn't that mean that all posts ever made by scottyb and any other that ever said anything negative would also have to be deleted? Maybe we just need to completely shut down EliseTalk and be done with it.

Get serious, people. What ever is done is not going to satisfy everyone - someone is not going to like it, or someone else is going to call Censorship!

Fight it out in court if necessary, but let it drop on this forum. Address other problems in the future if they actually happen, and quit trying to get Randy sued at this point in time.

Just say NO!

Scotty,
You certainly could post your experiences on your own website, I fail to see why Randy or ETALk should go to the mat for this.

The conspiracy theorists here on the forum will be believe what they want to believe. I happen to think the VAST MAJORITY of etalk members are a bit smarter than that however. IMHO, it's the VAST MAJORITY that I'm interested in keeping here.

All I can say is that I must have done a great job at suppressing anything negative said about Hass. Damn.. I am good at this.

You all didn't read any negative comments right? Nothing that was post after post, going on for days? Because I didn't allow that, right?

JAY... WHERE IS MY CHECK?!?!?!

At least send me a hat. Hell, Lotus gave me a free hat.

Tim,
Try taking Sense of Humor 50A at your nearby community college. Check thing was a joke, and a resurrected one at that. Try dick wrestling while you're at it. (don't think he deserved that!)

Now Randy, how do you know that, and how the hell many people aren't paying you at this point? I think I hear a Bass Ale calling me from the fridge, those things can be so annoying? Oh well, must answer the call.

Aloha,
Thomas Praetzel
Randy does have a second degree black belt in dick wrestling, saw it on another site!
